Property clearing and zoning agreement The background of this agreement was that *** **** was a referral for land clearing. *** **** initially charged me $4,500 to have the clearing done (which now I realized was far too much) see the arrangement below: This information was an emailed agreement sent by ****** ****. K&J Cook Enterprise LLC sending out contract for land Clearing for *** ****** property off of Moultrie HWY for the price of $4,500 with agreement of $1,900. Down with two installments payments of $1,300.00 October & November. (Sign by ****** ****) The land was to be cleared a total of 3 times after payments were made. The agreed amount of $4,500 was paid in full and only one verifiable clearing was done. Photos were sent by Mr. Cook. To my knowledge, no other clearing was done. I did send a request to *** **** requesting status updates, but he stated that there was a house fire and that his workers had covid and there were other covid restrictions but assured me that it would be done by the beginning of the year 2022. Per our discussion, *** **** was to clear the land off again and follow up with having zoning done on the property. The charge for that zoning *** **** stated was $767. (This was an additional charge) that was paid in full. A month ago, I went to view the property and put up no trespassing signs. The property was overgrown to the point that we were not able to physically walk around on it. There clearly wasn't a clearing done in a long time. I immediately called *** **** and asked him to return my $767 dollars that was sent to him for zoning and that I expected him to have the property cleared. He said that all of this will be taken care of by Friday 4/22 and give me my money back. To date, none of those things have been done. I've called and texted *** **** several times. He is now no longer answering my phone calls or responding to my messages.
