They owe me a $6400 refund and are dragging their feet on paying me back for goods and services unrendered. We contracted with Rooftops Unlimited in December 2020 to replace our siding, windows, front door with transommes, and French doors to our balcony. We paid them a total of $47,384.99 over 3 checks in December 2020, August 2021, and October 2021 because *** asked for the money even though only the siding and paint had been done by October 2021. *** finally decided in March 2023 he could not source my front door and in May 2023 that he could not provide my balcony doors. We asked for a refund on May 9, 2023 of the money paid in 2020 for our doors. It is now June 8th, 2023 and they still have not refunded us. They have acknowledged they owe us our money back.Business response

Unfortunately a series of unfortunate events that were out of Rooftops Unlimited control did occur with your job. However the issues with the installations of the products we installed were corrected. The windows and doors were custom ordered therefore had to be paid for up front to the distributor., and in your case we paid for them twice in order to make it right. We no longer use that distributor because of the issues that occurred on your job. We are still awaiting our refund for the doors from them. / Update : we have made a $3000 payment since this complaint was originally posted. We are in the process of paying the remaining balance back.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:********************* keeps promising to pay ** back the remaining moneys owed ($3400) and keeps not paying it. Everyone who looks this business up on the BBB deserves to know hes acting like a thief.
Three weeks or so ago, he was supposed to make another $1000 payment. Not only did he fail to make a payment, he doesnt contact either my husband or I to communicate any issues. Weve been patient through his claims of being mugged and in hospital. Just keep your word and pay us back! Im starting to consider filing a theft by taking charge. I really do hate that such a highly recommended company has turned out to be so dishonest and untrustworthy.
