We purchased a warranty from *** with the purchase of a used car. A month after the purchase, the car started to violently shake when trying to engage 5th gear. After a repair the car was not fixed. We returned the car back to the shop to have the torque converter replaced. It did not fix the problem. So we returned the car to the shop for repairs. We are now being told that the warranty is expired and nothing can be done. The car was at the shop when the warranty expired. We did what we were supposed to do.Business response

I took my truck into the dealership to have it looked at for a possible transmission issue. Turns out, the transmission had gone bad and needs replaced. I was happy knowing I would be covered with the ************** train plus warranty. Until they declined to actually fund the fix siting that the tires were too big even though I do not have that large of tires on my vehicle and that was already considered since I pay a surcharge already for having them (WHICH WERE ON THE VEHICLE WHEN I PURCHASE IT! EVERYTHING IS THE SAME AS THE DAY I PURCHASED THE ******* They did a fix on both control arms this past spring in 2024, and they did not have any problem at all with the tire sizes then and actually passed it through without a problem. Now that its a major fix, they are declining to step in when it actually matters to help someone who invested in them at an earlier time. They have not been helpful at all with this and I financially need this to work out because it would be crippling. ThanksBusiness response

*** is stating I owe them "GWC Warranty hereby demands payment of $3,290.00", however the local Kansas city rep ****** *******] failed to change over our bank account information [we had a fraud charge which forced us to change account #s] for months upon months, and then all the sudden showed up asking for us to pay absurd amount because of her ******* to do her job to which we had no idea. We would of had no issue paying over time as normal but hitting us with a 3k bill because of your ******* to do your job is not good business, we had no idea she didnt do her job. We had to shut down our operations because of this and no longer operate because they locked our account and no longer could give warranties to customers, which was a big profit for us. I want them to eliminate this bill because of the local reps ******* to do her job, we supplied her with a voided check and bank account info, to which she failed to update. We paid this company over 10,000$ with no issues for years. This company literally made my business fail and they are predatory and horrible people.Business response

I bought a car from Hot Deals. The dealer told I should get a warranty. So I ask for a warranty that covers all parts. So he sold me a warranty that claim to fix all parts of it needed service. So I paid the dealer ******* for a warranty on my car. As soon as I broght the car it has a water leak and a engune oil leak. I had to brung the car in and the warranty cov we red no parts. So I had to pay out of pocket. Then the air conditioner belt broke. The cost me over six hundred dollars. Everytime I took the car into the shop nothing was cover. Then a water leak. It just never starts and I always have to come out of pocket. The warranty never covered anything. It was not what I asked for.Business response

I purchased my vehicle warranty from *** and its still valid. I am within the three-year limit and under the mileage limit. I bought the truck lifted with oversized tires from the dealership (Option 1) who then sold me the warranty. Ive had the truck for almost 2 years now and have not made any modifications to it. The engine needed to be rebuilt in February 2023 and GWC covered it under my warranty. In October 2024 my transmission went out and currently needs to be replaced. GWC is denying my warranty claim because they said my oversized tires void the warranty. I have not made any modifications to the truck since *** bought it. When the engine needed to be rebuilt, I was told the transmission was covered under my warranty. Now theyre saying that I modified my truck since I bought it, which means my warranty is voided. I have a picture of my truck the day I bought it, showing the oversized tires and the lift kit that were on it when I bought it from the dealership. I also have pictures of my truck over the 2 years Ive owned it showing its still the same as when I bought it. As well as receipts from my mechanic and the shop that did my engine rebuild. Ive spoken with *** and they said that my entire warranty is voided so anything else that breaks down that should be covered under the warranty, they arent going to cover. Once again theyre saying the truck (which is the way it was when I bought it) doesnt meet warranty standards yet the warranty was sold to me and they covered the engine rebuild last year. If the warranty was out of their standards from the beginning and had that been communicated to me, instead of selling the warranty to me, I wouldnt have bought the truck in the first place. So now Im locked in to payments for a truck that the warranty I bought and am paying for doesnt coverBusiness response

10/03/2024 purchased a used vehicle. Purchased a Platinum vehicle service contract also. ****** Auto Sales sold me a lemon. Have taken vehicle to a personal mechanic and the car sales mechanic. ****** at ************************************. ******* the mechanic said that he fixed only one side of engine. On 07-25-2024 took car back because it was overheating. The engine was taken apart and sent to a machine shop and the specs were that the cylinders are out of round. ****** the new mechanic says you can see it in the pictures machine shop took. On 10/04/2024 GWC Warranty stated that they were going to repair shop to see for themselves. They never showed up. Need vehicle back and getting the run around from GWC Warranty to fix car. The car has been at mechanic since end of July 2024.Business response

may 15 2024 I contacted GWC Warranty to cancel my extended warranty, which they told me I had to call the dealership that I bought my truck from which I did and they are to file a cancellation which they did May 15, 2024. I contacted *** warranties and they said they received the cancellation those from the dealership. I asked him did I need to sign anything they said they asked me did I email them cancellation notice for my signature and I said yes they said thats all I needed and I receive a check six weeks, its been since May 15, 2024. I called today and they said that the truck warranty is still active and they never received anything. I called the dealership. They said they received everything and they submitted it.Business response

*** said they sent the check to Charleston liquidators but they havent received any check. For $1.100. I have called them several times and the same excuses they put a tracking number on a letter with no sign of delivery? Please help me with thisBusiness response

Purchased this warrenty when we purchased our used car. Paid $5,000.00 for the warrenty. Our car has been having issues and started leaking coolant, so we had it towed to the dealership. *** did a diagnostic, figured out the issues and presented them to GWC Warrenty. Mind you, the issues that were found in the diagnostic were covered by warrenty. Our service advisor called the warrenty, spoke to ***** and ***** said that they do not want to fix or cover our issues. He stated that they need to know why the part is broken, after having the dealership explain to them that they cannot look inside the part even if its taken apart, GWC said they wanted to have a tech come out and diagnose the issue.. which would cost $871.00 and that still would not guarantee our car would be repaired or warrenty would cover it. I then had to call the warrenty myself, and argue and plead our case to them. The staff is very rude, does not want to listen to any of our concerns and does not want to cover things that are under warrenty. A warrenty that we spent a lot of money on and got the premier package for. GWC always makes things difficult. They take your money and never want to cover or pay for repairs.Business response

GWC is a scam. I called them About an issue with my vehicle in 2022. Two difference analysts told me it was not covered. I explain that is should and both analysts responded it did not. In 2023, same issue, the blamed the licensed mechanic for not responding. The mechanic told me that they denied it Now Im in 2024, the warranty is up for renewal. When they sent a letter, against my better judgment, I called. This time they said it can be fixed and there will Be a $100 deductible. Took it to the dealer, only be told after a $410 diagnostic was done that because of the mileage which was 22 miles over, they could not fix it. This company is a scam It does not need to be in business.Business response
