***********************, Ragdoll cat breeder, is selling sick kittens. I purchased two kittens for $2,100 on May 14th, 2022. **************** promised healthy kittens but the kittens she sold me had the cat flu (feline herpes), round worms, tape worms, and Giardia. *** complained to her about the issues, but she refuses to acknowledge and take responsibility for her negligence and claims that these infections occurred after I purchased them. My kittens continue to have severe chronic diarrhea which the vet is unable to find a solution. Vet bills continue to rise as I am trying to get the right treatments/cure. Her solution to my sky rocketing vet bills is that I shouldve purchased pet insurance to lower the cost of the vet bills. She doesnt seem to know that pet insurance does not cover pre-existing conditions. *** also spend another $586 for emergency care for one of my kittens who became extremely lethargic. I am emotionally, mentally and financially exhausted and have considered surrendering them to a rescue hoping that someone else could continue with their treatment since I am going into debt trying to find the right treatment to no avail. I asked her for some reimbursement for the vet bill but she refused and offered to take them back to her home to treat them which would only re-infect them with the illness that had previously had. I do not want to give up on my kitties but I cannot continue to go into debt while trying to get them well. Don't be fooled by her superficial hospitality. She does not allow visits to her cattery and does not provide her address so the address I provided is not her address but the address of the vet she uses since that is all I had to go by. The public should be aware of her negligence and lack of proper care for her cats health and her customers hard earned money so they do not face the same ordeal I have endured. She is registered with the **** and they will be notified as well.Business response

First of all, thank you for allowing me to address these false accusations.
#1 I never refused to give my address. Anyone with ****** could find it in seconds. I give my address out all the time to customers to mail a check to or pick up their new kitten. She never asked for it.
#2 My solution to vet bills is buy insuranceNo, I GIVE 30 days free insurance with all of my babies and I asked several times if she cared to activate it, she refuses to answer the question.#3 lack of care, negligence, and refuses to acknowledge the situation This is an incorrect accusation, as proven by:
1) I perform a ***** on every litter of kittens and I will attach a receipt showing these kittens was done.
2) One Kitten did have red eye issue in one eye, that started the morning the kitten was to go home. She was made aware of the situation and still accepted the kitten. I offered that day to give full refund and she refused. (I have record of these messages)
3) Because of the eye issue upon delivery I reimbursed her for the first vet visit, which I thought was VERY fair.
4) She purchased 2 kittens one for $1400 and the second was given at price and both microchips were on me. Both kittens were spayed/neutered with complete health check before leaving my home.
5) I will also upload my contract which states she has 72 hours to get a complete Health Check from her vet and send me the results if there are any complaints. She didnt take the kitten to the vet until May 19thso she did not abide by my contact and I STILL paid her 1stvet visit. She refused vaccines at this visit (which would have helped build their immune system). NO mention at this time whatsoever of diarrhea or worms of any kind to me.
6) She states the kitten was sneezing on 6/24. I have several messages (at least 3-4) from her where she was ordering stuff online to self-diagnose and self-treat rather than take the babies to the vet. I mention on several occasions that I believed the kittens would benefit from an oral antibiotic, but to my knowledge that was not given at this time.
7) I NEVER denied the parasites came from here, I just only stated the factshowever, the 1st time worms were mentioned to me was on 7/1 and ONLY roundworms were mentioned and only roundworms were found by her vet (vet never saw tapeworms/but clearly said they come from fleas; tapeworms were self-diagnosed by her). Maybe this is because the kittens never received their next scheduled dewormer? And please note this was almost 2 MONTHS after she got the kittens and still NO mention of diarrhea, NO mention of tapeworms and NO mention on Giardia at this time!
8) On Aug 1st(2 MONTHS after getting the kittens) she mentions tapeworms and Giardiatapeworms come from fleas and they had no fleas before leaving my home. I cannot be held responsible for a parasite showing up 3 months after the kittens leave my home. And at this time she was demanding money. My contract clearly states (and I will attach it) a) only a 72 hr window for a vet check (covered by me) if there are any complaints b) No CASH refunds will be given c) seller does not guarantee against anything that is treatable. d) Seller will NOT be held liable for any costs that *** occur after kittens leaves my homewith that being said and AGREED upon, I will list the following:
Full refund was offered on May 14th .buyer refused
Offered full refund on July 1stbuyer refused
Aug 1st.I offered to take the kittens back and treat them for her. ALSO offered for her to keep them and her take them to my vet and I would cover ALL vet costs. Which is MORE than fair considering it is against my contract and I should not be held liable for these issues that could have came from ANYWHERE after they left my home. But I still tried to make things right.
9. Her comments to me:
a) May 16thYouve done such a great job with breeding these kittens and socializing them. I will highly recommend you to anyone looking for a Ragdoll kitten! I absolutely love them!
b) May 17thI understand anything can happen at any time. At least I am bonding with him every time I clean his eye. He loves it.
c) July 1st Claimed her vet thinks the kittens DOB is wrong and vet wasnt happy she bought from a breeder and she needed to find a new one.
d) July **** believe you are a good breeder, and you have been nothing but kind, supportive, and honest so I trust you over my vet.
10. On Aug 15th, I received multiple messages giving me a heads up that this customer was slandering my name on social media. After supplying proof that I tried to work with her, the owner of the site removed her post that mentioned my name. I have proof she has been changing the kittens food which that alone will cause diarrhea. She has stated multiple times to me and online that she does not even trust her own vet. Instead of doing what is right by the kittens and letting me help (as stated in her complaint, she would rather turn the kittens to a shelter) she resorts to slandering my name on false accusations. Slandering someone is just absolutely wrong when I have done everything in my contract AND way more than most would have.I love my kittens more than anything. I have tried endlessly to make this situation right and put the kittens' health over any contract, but the seller refuses any of my options unless I give her cash, even when my options include me paying the ENTIRE bill at my reputable vet. I do not believe it is fair to me, my business, or my babies to slander my name when all the seller wants is cash.

If the Buyer would have had an initial vet visit that I offered to pay for and performed a *****, we would have seen if there were parasites or not.if they didnt show at this time then YES the **************** would have covered them at a later date. Again, it didnt cost anything to the Buyer so why not activate it regardlesseven if it was never used/needed. If diarrhea was a huge issue why not have a ***** done at the first vet visit on 5/18. Not getting a ***** if you had diarrhea, have nothing to do with me being honest or trusting me.IF I would of suspected anything to be wrong, I would of treated myself. And yes, I have a message from the Buyer where she refused vaccines at this time that the vet offered.
Yes, I get fecals when they are spayed/neutered. And yes, there can be a gap in contamination versus showing positive. I figured since they live in the same environment, they should show up by **** wks of age. However, it is getting old this Buyer keeps stating I denied parasites came from here. That was never said.
Yes, My daughter stated she talked to her about the eye at drop off. I, however, wasnt there but spoke to her the same day myself when she reached out to me. I still dont understand what she means by lethargicall kittens are different and I never noticed anything here. But if he was lethargic why was SQ fluid denied by the Buyer (as stated in one of her documents) when the vet wanted to give them at one point?
Microchips, yes she had to pay to register one of them. But I did pay for both chips they were definitely not free for the vet to implant them.
Yes, I do see now where she mention loose stools to me on 5/17, my mistake. We talked about food, etc and she never had a ***** when she went to the vet that very next day. I didnt hear any more complaints about this for weeks. So I ASSUMED it was not an issue.
How can you say you never mentioned my name BUT ONCE on social media? You either did or did not. Yes, your post mentioned my name in the comments for all to see and it (the comment which had my name, Heavens Ragdolls in it) was removed. Yes, it is slander when you are trying to hurt my business, which the post is still being updated about your breeder.
Yes, there are posts online that you changed the kittens food several times, even feeding minnows and the vet told you that could be the cause of the diarrhea.
You asked me for $594.57 but just claimed that you didnt ask me for money? It doesnt take $600 to treat these parasites. You are asking me to cover the diarrhea that has continued after the parasites are gone. You want to say I sold you sick kittens but diarrhea was not an issue while he was here with me.
I never lashed out at the Buyer. I apologize that she interpreted a written message that way. *** always taught my girls to not judge or get mad at a text message as you cannot hear how things are truly being said. My very LAST sentence to her was, and I quote, I want to help and do right by you and the kittens but cant just throw away that kind of money. But Buyer states I dont take any responsibility?
I have 6 emails all from customers who picked up their kitten the same day and who her kittens lived with in my home and shared a litter box with. NO complaints!
Do I think 50 miles is unreasonable to drive to get help for my own babiesabsolutely not. I Guess that is the difference between her and I. IF I have a customer who needed help and I offered to pay the billon top of the bad mouthing of their own vetI absolutely thought she would jump on the chance to have a 2ndopinion paid for.
What this all boils down to is I love my babies and will stand behind each and every one of them. And my offers still stands even though she continues to bad mouth/slander me. Trust me, you can never assume what another Breeder would do unless you were going through it with them personally. I consider myself very reputable and I even contacted 3 other breeders and they all told me to walk away, which I did not do.
Buyer claims that she doesnt believe I am a breeder who will continue to sell sick kittens and that I just dont want to admit I am wrong and I care about money more? Not sure how this is determined, when I paid 1stvet visit and still offered to help months later. Also if this was true, I would be defending myself on ******** to show proof that I tried to do right and stood behind my contract and then some. Buyer is still the only one continuing to post the breeder is furious with me for reporting her. Who is the one trying to look good here? ***** is still trying to gain attention and this comment had nothing to do with the kittens health and is just slander.
She hasnt even spoke with me but assumes I am furious . No, I just refuse to take my personal problems to social media and stoop to that level of immaturity. My reputation speaks for itself and Im ok with that J. I have been breeding 20 years and its sad it had to come to this. This will be my last response on this allegations. Im over arguing when I have gone above and beyond for the kittens. My end of the contract has been fulfilled.Customer response
