We purchased our new construction home in September of 2022. The home was sold to ** with advertisement of amenities such as pool, clubhouse and playground. Additionally, the home came with a 1-year warranty. I have nothing but issues with our home and the builder is extremely slow to get to issues, some of which are serious safety concerns of mine including but not limited to, incorrect wiring, holes in walls/ceilings, exterior structural damage, proper yard drainage and a retaining wall that was put in and his out of code being too high with too much walkable surface to not have a fence. I called Coweta County, and they confirmed the wall is out of code and requires a fence to prevent people from falling off for safety. My 2-year-old ran off the wall but luckily was caught before hitting the ground below. In regard to the amenities, I have reached out to both the *** and the builders' realtor which I am including snapshots of our conversations below. The builders and *** have terrible communication and often I have to send 2nd, 3rd and even 4th requests for responses. The home was said to come with these amenities which is why we bought this home over another. Those amenities are not even under construction. The builders levelled off the ground, poured the road and stopped at that. The *** says the builders say spring, which is what we were told when we bought the home. However, with the lack of construction, there is no way possible this will be completed within the timeframe I was told. I emailed the builders realtor who says, "while we know the timeline, you need to reach out to the *** for the best information."The builders only care about putting up houses quickly, with lack of quality of the homes and even more lack of customer service after the sale. They are extremely dishonest and lack proper communication. Buyers beware, stay away from Dustin Shaw homes and the ************ Subdivision.
