******* **************** was contracted by my wife and I to perform major renovations on one ************************* of a duplex we recently purchased in Grant *************** neighborhood. The total value of the contract we all initially agreed on was $21,000 for labor only, with payment schedule for each week. ******* has received $16,000 via check from us, but only completed about $8,000 to $9,000 worth of work (these estimates have been evaluated and confirmed by independent third-party professional contractor hired by us recently). ******* has delayed the work on the house by coming up with various excuses about his wife's car and family issues. He has also referred us to his two other terrible contactors who have deliberately delayed their work and stopped communicating after we hired them, which ******* has used as an excuse to stop work altogether in the house, when in fact there was plenty of work to get through without electrical work getting in his way. His lies and excuse have delayed the project by more than 3 months. His work quality is very poor with unbalanced floors in both the shower and patio floor outside, which now must be redone completely. The most serious offense ******* has committed is him taking washer and dryer in our house without our expressed permission, which amounts to theft. He is extremely rude, aggressive, and a thief who has ruined our hopes, our house and left it gutted. He initially promised to complete the project in one month, which corresponded with the payment schedule from the contract. We continue to pay mortgage payment for the unit while we do not live there, and we are paying rent at an apartment until we the project is complete. He has been terrible in all aspects and continues to lie to us about the amount of work he completed. We are currently seeking legal action, which we are confident we will win. I hope this organization reviews this account carefully and acts against him because he will continue to steal from others
