Mr. Ross Cameron, through his business Cameron Pianos, sold me a used Baldwin M model baby grand piano December 2021 for $4495. I chose Cameron Pianos to purchase a piano after visiting his website and reading the following "Cameron Piano...a family owned corporation in business for over 50 years...specializing in pianos we deliver quality instruments at reasonable prices to clients regionally, nationally and around the world." I trusted him as a reliable used piano salesmen. Mr. Cameron, upon delivery, told me the piano was in good condition, built at the best Baldwin factory in Cincinnati. He also explained that it was normal for the piano to go slightly out of tune as it adjusted to a new environment. (I now understand this true for any piano) As such I scheduled a professional piano tuner, ***** ***********, one month later to give the piano a fine tuning. Mr. ***********, after having a look at the piano, informed me that the piano was in poor condition and it was unlikely it would hold a pitch, let alone provide a tone as expected from a Baldwin in good condition. Mr. *********** went on to point on hair-line fractures on the pin block, several severe cracks in the sound board and tuning forks that were repaired poorly. He also pointed out that a gold varnish spray was applied across the entire cast iron frame to conceal rusting. In Mr. ***********'s professional opinion this piano, in this condition, was worthless. Within a couple weeks of possession several of the keys became severally out of pitch and several more were significantly out of pitch. I called Mr. Cameron end of January 2022 to communicate my displeasure not being disclosed the true condition of the piano upon purchase. I asked for a refund or compensation and he said no to both. I requested then an exchange for a piano in good condition which he agreed to. It is July 2022 and he has not followed up on his word. I have lost all confidence/trust in Cameron Pianos and would like a full refund.
