      On 08/22/2023 I went into contract with Ohana Shading Systems for a patio cover, patio railing and patio gate. I was told if I paid for all materials up front I would get a better deal and secure faster shipping. So I paid $13,838 up front. I was told 3 months and my cover would be shipped and installed. I have emailed called and text sales person and office staff for updates with vary little response. Finally in February I revived notification my materials had shipped. Now here we are March 26th and I have the patio cover in my garage but the patio railing and gate are nowhere to be found. I Have reached out to the contacts I have and the salesman has responded. However he has no answers. I am requesting the materials I have paid for be delivered to me by 03/29/2024 that's over 7 months since payment and an installation date or I want a full refund of the $13,838

      I contracted with Ohana Shading to install a cover for my lanai on August 5, 2023. At the time I was told it would take about 3 months for the product to be received and they would arrange installation when received. I put down 50% of the total price, which included the installation work, and was told the other 50% was due after installation. They said that this contract allowed them to fill a shipping container so I felt assured that this was a reasonable time frame. I contacted them on October 31, 2023 and again on November 6, finally received a reply back on November 6 saying they would check into it. After a couple of other emails to them they finally replied on December 5 that the shipment was scheduled to leave December 21. I again wrote to them on January 31, 2024 and received a reply that the estimated arrival date is March 7th and stating different terms than I was originally told. The email stated "Final material payment is due upon the delivery of the materials. installation cost is paid after the material are installed directly to the installer." I feel that I have been repeatedly lied to about this contract.

      On June, 15, 2023 I purchased an L-Cantilever 20 grey (3 surface mount 10R, Ledger mount on house) from ***********************. I wrote a check for a down payment of $9,271.20 on June 15th. This check was cashed on June 21, 2023. The total amount is $10,471.20, therefore the amount due upon completion is $1,200. ****** informed me that I would receive the shading system by September or October 2023. I also received a letter from **** of Ohana Shading dated September 28, 2023, indicating that they received an arrival notice for our shading system that should reach the last week in November. I called on November 6, 2023 and left a message for him to call me. On December, 5, ****** informed me that I would get a call from **** regarding delivery. I received no call. I then left you a message on December 14, 2023 and did not get a return call. Ohana Shading delivered some materials to my house the first week of January **** after I sent the certified letter to them in December. It is February and Ohana Shading has not installed or contacted me regarding installation.I would like to have Ohana Shading refund me for the full amount that I paid.

      I ordered a canopy for my patio on 11-27-21. ***************, the representative I talked to and closed the order with said it would *********** months for delivery/installation. I made the required deposit of $5,500.00 with balance due upon installation.I am now into my SECOND year waiting for delivery and completion of my order. Ohana Shading systems sends me an occasional email saying my order is delayed due to covid or, the ship is stuck somewhere. The last email dated 1-12-22 said the shipment has arrived and awaiting customs clearance and should be ready for delivery "in a few days."I have heard nothing further from them since 1-12-22 and still don't know if my order has actually arrived or why it has STILL not been delivered. My request is for them to either finish the job or refund my deposit in full ASAP.

       This is in response to complaint #******** which I filed on 2-28-23.

       

      Ohana Shading Systems has contacted me and assured me my order would be delivered and should arrive at my home within a week.

       

      For now, no further action is required on this matter.

      I ordered a carport in early May 2022. i paid $10,000 down. *** said it would be delivered and installed in August.In August, no carport. *** said it would arrive in October.In October, no carport. *** said it would arrive in Jan/Feb 2023.In February 2023, no carport. *** said it would arrive in late March. I asked for my down payment back. *** agreed to give me my money back. *** said he cut a check for me on Friday, February 17 and I should get it the following Monday or Tuesday. it is Thursday afternoon and I have not received a check.

      I signed a contract to order and install awning at my home at ********************* in September 2021 and paid a deposit of $5,100.00. It is now 15 months later and the order is not on the island. The company has been claiming shipping delays due to Covid. I have heard for the past 3 months that my order is "in the container waiting to be received". They have not been able to show me proof that the order was actually placed and the date it was placed. I just want to be sure they are telling me the truth and not just taking my money with no intention to place the order and fulfill the job. I believe they are operating under several different business names: Ohana Roofing, Ohana Exteriors, Ohana Shading Systems. The people I have spoked to are ********************* and *********************. They are very, very nice but keep making excuses.

      My contract dated July 1, 2021 for a shading system for my courtyard. A deposit of 50% was made for the initial work of $2600. It was informed to me that it will be delivered in 6 months and installed. I have not heard from or been communicated from ********************* from Ohana Shading System whom represents this company. It almost seems like fraud at this point due to lack of communication. Today's date is September 8, ********************************************************************* regards to my shading system. At this point, I had to seek out another system and will no longer be needing their services. Please refund me!!

      A purchase/work order from Ohana Shading systems was given to ******************* (my husband) on 10/20/21 for materials for an L-Model Patio Cover with 2 Posts and panels to be delivered to our home. It was mentioned that the *********************** time may be delayed due to COVID-19. (If I remember correctly, about 4 months) The amount of $2,800.00 was paid to Ohana Shading Systems with a **** credit card. (This was a 50% Deposit, with the remaining balance to be due upon Delivery. Balance due was $2,749.00. Ever since this date, we have never received any status of delivery by ********. I have been trying to contact him thru phone calls, but he has never called back. Please Help us.

      My elderly father purchased a patio cover through ******** Nice of Ohana Shading. He is the agent for Ohana Shading. Contract was signed by both parties on November 2, 2020. We have been in contact with *** for months asking about our order and when it will arrive. His response was that they are having shipping delays due to Covid and the shortages at the docks. After waiting over a year and numerous emails going back and forth with the arrival date always getting pushed back, we asked for a refund but was told we cannot get a refund. I called again this morning because my last email (in January) said that my Dad's order is scheduled to arrive February 14th in ********. I was told today that it hasn't arrived and that my new eta is March 2, 2022. We are very upset and frustrated and will never do business with Ohana Shading again!
