I am writing to address the issues I have experienced with Ohana Shading Systems, including ineffective customer service, poor workmanship, and safety hazards resulting from their installation.I left a voicemail on their business line, and a person named ******** called back, stating that they will not perform significant repairs, citing safety hazards for my children and the poor quality of the job. There are construction errors on two of the main systems, with gaps between both the back and main entrance new systems, causing heavy flooding and fall hazards due to mildew buildup. More importantly, I have images and videos showing the load-bearing beam rotting from water being trapped between the existing roof and the new shading system. Additionally, the installation was poorly executed and of low quality. We waited six months for the installation, with materials stored in our yard the entire time. The company that delivered the materials picked coconuts and left their mess for me to clean ***** make matters worse, the third-party installers were unprofessional, cussing at each other during their shift, smoking marijuana on the property, and cameras caught them entering our home while no one was present. The installers also left extra materials in our yard after completing the job. Although we have a warranty for their work until 2030, the company is now refusing to fix the issues.

They are not communicating with me. On April 11, 2024, at 2:25 PM, I texted Hello ******, just checking if you have it down for the Installation.****** replied on April 16 at 1 PM, " ********************, I'm off the Island right now. The installation team is busy right now. I know they are going to call you shortly to install it.I replied< thank you ****** for reaching out I appreciate it. May 8 at 11:06 AM. Aloha Ohana, to follow up on the Installation. I would like to know how soon I can see when the schedule is for the shade Installation.Today is May 20, at 9:53 PM. I am still waiting for their answer

Terrible customer service!!! Spoke with someone from the company on 08/08/23 and paid bill in full. I've contacted him on several occasions and always got some kind of excuse for not having the work done. Materials were delivered over a month ago and no communication on when the shading will go up. I called once again on 04/24/24 and was told the crew will be scheduled to come on 05/05/24 between 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. It is now 11:37 a.m. and no one has shown up and no phone call from them. I called questioning and no one answered the phone...left a message and no call back!! I would like to request a full refund!!!

Poor customer service. No follow up on repeated phone calls on status of our order, placed with a deposit in April 2022 No response to our repeated request for a refund.

I'm very pleased with the quality and workmanship of the product and all of the people involved in it. The installation crew was polite and friendly. They did a very nice job with the whole process, from arrival to clean up. The gentleman/salesman who did the original write up and order was very helpful and informativet just about everything . The two awnings they installed are already doing their job, cooling our back bedrooms very nicely. I had anymore shading issues, I would definitely call them first.

The wait was long. But that was for everyone awaiting anything from a foreign port. But got it delivered on a Thursday and put up the following Tuesday. Awesome job! Friendly service! Automatically made my deck cooler and comfortable to sit outside. Thank you **** and **** for the friendly, fast and complete job.

Great customer service and keeping me informed. I am excited for the new shading system thanks to *** and his team.

The deck covering that they installed was improperly done. The roof pitch was so high that all the rain water floods the corner where the downspout is located and overflows. I have been trying to get **** to fix it and it has been two years since it was installed. He claims that the posts were ordered but fails to communicate with me on the status. He told me that he was too busy and has since hired **** to keep track of the status and she told me the *** was Feb 14. When I called her on the 23rd of Feb to ask about it, she told me she had to send **** an email but couldn't tell me the status. She was the one that **** had designated to inform me of the status but she wouldn't tell me. It seems that this company does not stand behind the quality of the installation and is more interested in getting new customers rather than taking care of their commitments to past customers.

Poor customer service. Emailed photo of job location, NEVER received a response, even after multiple attempts.
