I signed up for the ufc gym for my 13 year old to go with his friends and everything was going fine. I had to pay first and last months bill upfront but when I went to cancel the membership they stated I had to come in 21 days before the next billing to not get charged an extra month. I came in 9 days early to cancel because I dont live near my son and had no way of getting there or canceling it over the phone or internet because they dont let you. I went in May 2nd, the next billing date was May 10th but they told me they didnt care about the situation or their predatory tactics and were going to bill me fore an extra month due to an arbitrary date they made up just to be able to s**** people out of moneyThe UFC manager tried to act like it was an awesome thing being able to go to the gym 2 months (July 10th) after I wanted it canceled but I just see that as stealing money from people.Initial Complaint

On 2/6/2023 I joined UFC Mililani. I paid $147.35 to join the gym. The agreement had a 5 day right to cancel. I canceled the agreement on 2/8/2023. The sales manager told me I would receive a full refund of $147.35. I called in early March 2023 to inquire about the refund and was told it would occur in a week. As of 3/17/2023, I have not received a refund.Initial Complaint

I signed up my husband and son for memberships at UFC Gym on June 17, 2022. Originally, we signed up for the monthly plan, but upon further consideration, we decided that it was financially beneficial to sign up for the annual membership that they had a promotion for (buy one year, get two for free). We were told that they could not refund out monthly that we paid up front right away and that it had to be "handled by corporate." We agreed to this. ******* handled our membership sign up. We had no further contact from UFC Gym Mililani regarding this, nor did we receive a refund. Amount paid for monthly (charged for first and last month): $165.11 and $186.01 Amount paid for annual (family): $2924.96 These two payments were made on June 17, 2022.We continued to get charged monthly dues in the amounts of $82.56 and $93.01 despite being told it would be cancelled since we upgraded to the one-time payment annual membership.July 17, 2022: $82.56 and $93.01 August 16, 2022: $51.21 and $51.21 and $51.21 These charges are for the annual fee which we were aware of. However, we should have only been charged the amount of $51.21 one time for the annual membership.August 17, 2022: $82.56 and $93.01 September 17, 2022: $83.56 and $93.01 I called in early August (didn't note exact date) and spoke with a female member service representative regarding the continued monthly charges. I told her that I needed them cancelled and requested a refund. I was informed that nobody in the gym had the authority to do that and that it would have to be sent higher to their corporate office. I never got a call back.I returned to the gym around August 30, 2022 and spoke with the manager ******* and a front desk worker about still getting charged and a refund. ********************** instruction, she wrote in a log my complaint but noted that he could not handle my request. I haven't received a response and got charged again for September.Why is there nobody on-site that can do this?
