They sent out to me a box of meals in January without calling me first, to verify that I even wanted to receive them. They did not call me to ask me what I wanted to order, if anything at all. I returned the complete box of meals back to them (unopened, Return to Sender). I took the box of meals to ********** and sent them back from there. And they know that. I spoke with *****, ******** Service Supervisor about the issue on March 30. Homestyle Direct, **********, *****, seems to think that they have the right to charge my account for those January 2022 meals. I told them No, they can not do that. That is considered Fraud. Homestyle Direct needs to reverse the charges on my billing for those January 2022 meals.Business response

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to case # ******** as we take every complaint seriously. A quick background may add some light to the situation.
We are a contracted home delivered meal provider with ********* DHHS. Through the ********* DHHS, ****** is authorized to receive a specific number of meals per month. Per the instructions of her case manager, ****** was to receive meals for the month of January. We delivered the meals precisely as instructed, and exactly as the previous monthly deliveries; however, in January ****** decided to return the meals. Unfortunately, by the time the meals arrived back to our warehouse, the meals were spoiled. Despite DHHS allowing us to **** for the meals, we decided to reverse the reimbursement.
We do not feel that Homestyle Direct did anything wrong, nor did the case manager for ********* DHHS find any fault in what we did.Nevertheless, we reversed the charges in-order to close the case.
