The work from Ultra Clean was over a year ago but we are still having problems. It was a kitchen remodel after water damage. They worked with our insurance company and at first everything seemed great but as the project got going it was a slow process. We seemed to always have to initiate all of the work. We would call when we hadn't heard any updates and then things would happen for a little while and then we wouldn't hear from them for a while. From start to finish it took from November to the following May to get all repair work done. Most of that time without a usable kitchen. We would receive invoices from them and wouldn't know what they were for because insurance was to pay for everything. They would reply, sorry that was automatically generated and just ignore. Good thing we didn't just pay them. The worst though was installing our new cabinets. The worker put cabinets in the wrong spots and then blamed it on this tiny picture on his phone that he couldn't read. He didn't put spacers in so a whole section wasn't centered because he said we didn't order them, but their company had ordered everything and after it was too late I showed him where they were in the garage. We let it slide. When the dishwasher was installed it didn't fit and stuck out several inches. He said that was normal. I couldn't open or close the drawers next to the dishwasher because of the rubber seal. I pointed out that no dishwasher is supposed to stick out that much and he joked and said he didn't want me to get angry and that he would try to fix it. Hours later after major damage to our new cabinets and having to grind down the wood he was able to shove it in but not secure it in so it angles out at the top and wobbles. Come to find out he put the cabinets too close together. They damaged our table when installing the floors because they didn't use protective tarps for their tools and laid them anywhere. We felt ignored and belittled. We just wanted it all to be over.Review from Joyce A T

This company was a mistake from beginning! We had water damage from underneath the bottom floor of our split level home. We paid to have water damage repaired from a leak when they also found asbestos in our flooring. An abatement had to be done. The leak occurred on September 26, 2020. It was a disaster WITH this company from the beginning. 1. Two individuals came in a big truck, to move out the contents of our lower level. They came with NO, boxes, packing material, no blankets NOTHING but the truck. I left email messages and voice messages that these movers were not prepared. Nothing was done. In the end they tried to make us pay for all the supplies that they NEVER provided! $19,000 was the just the mover fee, They were at our home LESS than 8 hours total! My ******* did all the work except moving washer, dryer, entertainment center, **************** 2. We were out of our home from October 2020 to February 2021 for the cleanup & repair of our bottom level. 3. Carpet was laid in February 2021 and I took pictures today of the carpet which was not installed correctly. It should not come up when vacuuming between my hard floor and the carpet. Two places! Ten months after installation! I highly recommend that you use a different disaster cleanup company! They are extremely difficult to work with and do not listen to your needs.Ultra Clean Response

Please see the letter that we wrote to the Better Business Bureau regarding this inaccurate, slanderous review. My name is *************************. I'm the President and Owner of UltraClean in ********, *****. Last week ******************* posted an inaccurate, slanderous review of our company. It is objectively inaccurate and written to damage our company which qualifies it legally as defamation. We request that it be removed immediately. ******* 1st point, Moving and Storage:Her review:"1. My ******* did all the work except moving washer, dryer, entertainment center, **************** "What really happened: The customer was constantly confused about the estimate. It was never anywhere near $19,000.00. We went over this on the phone months ago and ***** said she understood what she was being billed for and it was fair. Her insurance company paid $2,880.38 and ***** received a credit that she agreed to for the work she and her family performed. Additionally, she moved contents before they were supposed to be moved back in without requesting our assistance which actually caused delays (which she wasn't billed for), and complained about having to do it even though it was too soon and she hadn't requested help.Additionally, the customer made no attempts to organize contents or take out their trash. The floors were covered and closets we filled chest-high with stacks of random items. The family was going into their storage container to get contents (rummaging and moving things) for three months then sent us photos of how it was being stored, accused us of making the mess, and pretended like they hadn't been in there since it was moved out. The $19,000 amount in her review is not only inaccurate but it is an attempt to show we price gauge. We use an estimating software called Xactimate and when we did this estimate we used only pricing in this system that was approved by State Farm for use in *** and CANYON county. Furthermore, her insurance assigned an adjuster that approved our cost. The **** family only came out of pocket for their deductible. ******* 2nd point, Timeline:Her review:"2. We were out of our home from October 2020 to February 2021 for the cleanup & repair of our bottom level."What really happened: The leak that caused the water damage was in the concrete foundation, under asbestos flooring, that was covered in pad and carpet. Once the leak was identified and the insurance carrier (State Farm) extended coverage to the loss, we first had to move their contents (an excessive amount of disorganized contents), then we had to ***** the asbestos. According to their standard insurance policy, the homeowner is responsible for fixing the source of the water damage, not the insurance company. We informed ***** on 10/7 that she needed to get this done and we gave her some resources to use. Under her control and coordination, it was not done until 11/18. This delay was over five weeks. We were delayed weeks due to a **** family member testing positive or being exposed to COVID-19.The ****** missed three appointments to order their carpet. When they finally picked the carpet and it arrived they accused us of trying to steal from them by giving them a carpet that was a lower grade/quality than they selected. We were able to show them the invoice and their selection but they still didn't believe us. Our carpet supplier/installer refused to go back and we had to start over with another supplier. We had to eat the restocking fee. The ****** continuously brought their contents from their storage container back into the house and placed them into areas of the house where work needed to be done. This included furniture. There were three different occasions when subcontractors and UltraClean carpenters showed up to the house and had to reschedule because the contents were in the way of getting the work done. ******* 3rd point, Carpet:Her review:"3. Carpet was laid in February 2021 and I took pictures today of the carpet which was not installed correctly. It should not come up when vacuuming between my hard floor and the carpet. Two places! Ten months after installation! I highly recommend that you use a different disaster cleanup company! They are extremely difficult to work with and do not listen to your needs."What really happened:We have not received any complaints or photographs of the alleged damage. This BBB review is the first that we heard there was an issue. There was a warranty repair that had to be done on the carpet after the initial installation as they didn't like the seam. We had the installer go and fix that and we were told by the ****** that it was resolved and they were happy. It did take longer than expected to make the repair but when it was done they were satisfied. Another point for consideration:***** sent an email full of false accusations to the insurance company including one saying the only way she could get doors installed was to go to the store and get them, paint them, and install them herself. The reality was that the doors weren't damaged in the loss and were not covered by the insurance company. My team suggested she replace the doors as the entire basement was going to be new besides the doors. She agreed that it was a great idea and decided to get them herself to save money and even paid one of my employees on the side to come and paint them and put them in on the weekend. We never charged her for the doors but she told the insurance company we charged her and refused to do it. This particular email to the insurance agent also included at least five other fabricated, completely false claims designed to get credits from the insurance company and avoid paying us for the excellent work that we did.
