  Date of transaction was 5/8/24 amount : ****** I called for a quote on a tow from U of I to a mechanic less than 2 miles away 3 hours before needed. After requesting tons of information I was quoted over ****** which I felt was way too high ( no towing ins on policy) after I said I wanted to call around scheduler dropped price to ******. I said thanks but still wanted to compare. I was panicking and called another company that quoted me around 350 as well but were located in *******. I called back a reluctantly agreed to ****** price with Moscow Towing. I then called Mechanic and they said Moscow was the most expensive in town and recommended ********************* that quoted me ******. Thrilled I scheduled with them instead. I called back Moscow towing 6 times for 30 min, They would not answer my call because they could see my number, I then emailed them on their main email and financial side to cancel and refund. When I blocked my number and called again the same guy answered and said their in a no refund policy which is not what their website says. I said It was two hours before and no one was in route, he still refused to help or offer any resolution. When I said I would stop charges on my side he said they would take me to small claims court. This customer service was the worst I have ever experienced. I need help to cancel the charges for services that were not provided please. While in distress I signed agreement without fully reading it because I was on phone and did not have readers and could not read it thoroughly.

  My husband called for a tow after his car went into the ditch. They came and pulled him out and left and said they would email a bill. The amount they charged was $1488.23 and when asked they said this is the "going rate" which we found out later was about 7X's more than what anyone else's going rate was for the same exact service. Even our Allstate agent knew about them and told us they try to warn all of their customers about Moscow Towing. I never could reach anyone on the phone, even after leaving a message. Their business address in Moscow on ****** is for a building that allows people to use computers and make copies so I was unable to speak with anyone in person. They have sponsored their results in ****** so if someone is panicking they are almost certain to contact Moscow Towing before any other towing service. I posted a review warning other potential customers about my experience. The next day my husband received a threatening email stating they would *** us (and win and have one many lawsuits like this) if I did not remove my negative ****** review. I have found numerous negative ****** reviews about this company and wonder how many other people were threatened in this way. I have contacted the Attorney General.

  I called Moscow Towing for a tow on February 9th at about 4:05pm. About 45 minutes later we figured out the problem and canceled the call for the tow. We were on the side of the highway, not in an ideal location. I had signed the agreement but Moscow Towing did not sign it until February 12th which means the agreement was not even valid at the time I canceled the tow. Essentially there was no agreement. I had already paid over the phone at this time too. I sent an email to their billing department immediately that evening asking for a refund since we canceled very quickly, did not interrupt their operation, and did not need the service. I also tried called their billing department but never got through to anyone even after talking to their manager. After several more attempts at calling and being told they would expedite my case, I finally got an email on March 1st from ******. I emailed ****** back right away asking to discuss the situation further. I never received a response. I also left her a voicemail asking the same thing, left a return phone number and never heard back. A refund for this situation is fair and warranted. The agreement was not valid on their end which means they can in fact ***** a refund. Moscow Towing has been extremely difficult to communicate with and I have been very patient with them. I do not feel the way they handled this and ignored me is fair and would like a refund to settle this situation.
