On 12/6/23, I reserved a hotel room for one night beginning on July 15, 2024. I paid a $93.38 deposit. On July 2, 2024, I canceled the reservation via telephone. We received an email confirmation of the cancellation. After some discussion, the manager agreed to mail us a refund check for the deposit amount. On July 22, 2024, I followed up via email because we had not received a check. On July 24, 2024, they emailed back saying it should be on its way.On July 30, 2024, I emailed again saying We still do not have the check. Can you confirm the address it was mailed to? They emailed back that date with our correct mailing address. On August 18, 2024, I emailed again stating, I still dont have this check and it appears it was never mailed. Please send it to me. On August 19, 2024, they responded Hi there. Sorry for the delay We have run far behind with those. You will receive it shortly. Thank you for being so patient.As of today, August 30, 2024, I still do not have a refund check nearly 2 months after canceling the reservation and being told a refund check was in the mail. I am concerned that the business is simply stringing me along.Customer response

Hi,
I submitted a complaint against Mountain Village Resort tonight. I just read a news article stating that *******, ID is dealing with a large wildfire. I would like to remove/rescind my complaint. They have much more important things to worry about than my refund. Please let me know if you need anything else.
