The Green Dealer made a deal with another person to advertise/make videos that they have a stump grinder attachment to a tractor delivered for under $2500. They used this video to draw customers to their website: www.shopgreendealer.com. They never made any videos or otherwise on their website that there is a price increase. They refused to owner this price and they sold me the same product for $3684.48. They also advertise free shipping. I ordered this product on 6/21/2022. Because of the bad customer service and the clear bait and switch, I cancelled my order on 6/24/2022. I never received the product and I contacted them several times asking for a refund. As of today 7/11/2022, they are refusing to send me back my refund and they say they will hold $200 for shipping. Despite advertising free shipping and despite the clear bait and switch, they are refusing to send me back my refund for a product that I never received.Business response

In regards to the statements made by the customer, a video was made by an independent youtuber in 2020 featuring a product that we offered in our webstore, and a 5% discount code for using the particular youtubers discount code. Shop Green Dealer did not pay for the video, and does not have a youtube channel to draw in customers.
The customer made an order on our website, seeing the price at the time they added it to the cart, the discount when they applied to the 5% off promotion, and at the final steps of checkout when they would have elected to still enter their card details and complete the purchase. At no point prior to the sale or the shipment of the sale did the customer reach out to question the price or ask any questions regarding the product listing.
We do offer free shipping out on the item as we have it structure into our cost on the stump grinders, but that does not mean that there is not a cost to this portion of the order. It still costs to send the item out via truck freight as well as the fact that it also costs to have the item returned to us. We refunded the customers transaction all but a $200 standard flat fee for the return truck freight. We waved all restocking fees and the additional freight it actually cost us to get it back $250+ in an attempt to satisfy the customer.
Ultimately, the customer bought an item, was supplied an item, was allowed to return the item at a discounted return rate from what are policies states, and still was not happy. We attempted to inform the customer that youtube videos can not be modified and that prices from videos years ago are not what they are today, as well we recommend when inputting personal information into a website, do not checkout until you have verified the charge you are actually paying, and also do not click are radial check boxes stating you agree and have read our return shipping policies if you have in fact not read them and do not intend on honoring or abiding to them.

I am rejecting this response because: The business response actually confirms their false advertising and intention to deceive their customers and doing business in a crocked way. I never received the product at all in the first place. How can I be responsible for shipping fees and restocking fees for a product that I never received. I cancelled the product right away because of their poor customer service and clear intent to deceive. This business has C - rating on the BBB with multiple complaints some are not even answered. The refund was only $3209.93. I paid $3684.84. This is $474.55 short. In addition to false advertising of free shipping, I am attaching your email that you will deduct only $200.
This will never come to pass, You need to honor your own statement.

Once your item is received back to our warehouse, you refund will be processed less the initial shipping fee of $200.
We have been in business online alone over 20 years. I can assure you we are not interested in keeping your payment.

The merchant did false advertising. I never received the product. There should be no deduction of any fees.
