Certasun is a pleasant and responsive company to work with on your solar project. I had many questions during the process and they were handled well. The EnPhase app is brilliant, you can see the amount of power generation at a glance, right down to the individual panels. They handled all the permits and the Illinois Shines application. They even provide a no interest loan which becomes a bridge until the Shines incentive money and the Federal tax incentive money becomes available. We are now connected to ComEd and generating power. All the many employees that we met or talked were certainly pleasant and professional, I would highly recommend that you give Certasun a call.Review from C M A

The inspectors and installation crew were highly professional, courteous, and very personable. Certasun is an excellent company and a pleasure to deal with. With definitely work with them again; oh yeah: they are now going to install an EV charger in my garage. :-)Review from Robert S

We recently worked with CertaSun to try to get solar panels installed. We eventually chose CertaSun over ****** because their customer service seemed responsive and they offered a number of guarantees including a "No Surprises Guarantee". CertaSun went through all of the steps on their process of getting permits, completing the site assessment, etc. The site assessment deemed the roof in good shape for solar panels. A couple of months after the site assessment, they installed the panels. A week after the installation, a leak started in our master bedroom. CertaSun denied responsibility and left us with a $20k bill to get the roof replaced. It took six months of back and forth to get them to even take the panels off and refund the money that we had paid for the panels. In the process they tried to get us to sign documents to absolve them of any responsibility, which was underhanded as the roof was in working condition before the installation - after all they were the ones who did an inspection before the installation. Either they did a poor site inspection, or damaged the roof during the installation. Would definitely not recommend them. They seemed friendly (and their install crew was friendly), but that quickly changed after the leak started. So much for their "No Surprises Guarantee".

We had a great experience with Certasun from beginning to end. All the people we encountered were knowledgeable and courteous. The sales guy we worked with was not pushy, and did not try to oversell us a system bigger than we needed. The guy who did the site visit before they scheduled the install was very polite and answered our many questions, and even the questions of our friends who are considering solar and had come to see what kinds of things he was checking for. The installation went without a hitch, and the crew was very nice, and even got rid of an old wasp nest by a dormer window. I would definitely choose them again.Review from Danny H

This was our second solar installation. The first was with a different company, which gives me a little basis for comparison. From the start, our salesperson at CertaSun was very knowledgeable, but more importantly, very ***** and un-pushy. The conversation was just us asking questions, him generously sharing his time and information, and us both figuring out what makes the most sense for us. It was clear he was not trying to railroad us into the biggest system he could, which I really appreciated. After that, everything went smoothly. The biggest difference between CertaSun and the company that did our first installation is the level of communication. CertaSun responded right away to emails and, better yet, they gave us a lot more information and contacted us whenever there was any update, so we just had fewer questions as the process unfolded. The installation all happened on schedule. CertaSun facilitated easy financing so that we didn't pay out of pocket for the amount that will be reimbursed through tax credit. CertaSun took care of the permitting and inspection through to switching on the panels. I'm confident that we have a reliable partner that we'll stick with for any needs going forward.Review from Amory D

I was very happy with Certasun. They were very responsive and helpful. They handled all the back end work as well. I didn't have to deal with anyone but them. I would recommend them to everyone I know. From signing the contract to the system being turned on was quick and efficient. It was less than 2 months.Review from MC S
