I canceled my payment with the company both through their website and my PayPal. I even notified them of this and they put the blame on me basically. So Ive been charged the last two months when I canceled my membership 3 months ago. These are business practices that make me sick. Preying on people is how I feel about it. Thankfully I check my statements or they would have continued to milk me dry.

      Business response

This person did not cancel his subscription as he claims he did. Here is what happened (this has been explained to him the first time on November 8, 2021, after which he did not take any action to cancel his subscription:

He originally set up two completely different subscriptions for 2 completely services:

      1. Breakthrough Guitar Lessons: He cancelled this online on his own on October 26. As a result, he was not charged anything further for Breakthrough Guitar Lessons.

      2. The Practice Generator: He did NOT cancel his membership to the Practice Generator until yesterday, December 6 - after the December payment went through already.

We make it very easy to cancel subscriptions. Moreover, since he used Paypal, its also easy for him to cancel at any time from within his own Paypal account as well.

In my email reply to him back on November 8, 2021, I informed him then that the Practice Generator subscription was still active (he would also have seen this very easily in his account at my website when he cancelled Breakthrough Guitar Lessons back in October. Also, he can see in his own PayPal account that that he had not cancelled the Practice Generator and therefore, it was still an active subscription.

In addition, we know he DID receive (and read) my email to him on November 8, 2021 because he specifically referred to my email to him in his December 6 email to me.

He did not cancel the Practice Generator in October, nor in November after I emailed him specifically about this, nor in December (until yesterday). Taking care of his subscriptions is his responsibility.

In addition, we already refunded the December 6, 2021 payment back to him, since he cancelled the same day (after the payment had went through). However, no refund for the November $17 payment is warranted.

FYI: Regarding the screenshot he uploaded of his bank statement: None of the charges in this screenshot have anything to do with our company (Tom Hess Music Corporation). We see ****************** (an online guitar lessons competitor) has charged him $19.95. This has nothing to do with our company in any way.

As for his claims that we have somehow stolen from him, or that we engage in shady business practices. We disagree and do not think that characterization of me or my business is accurate or fair.

I am rejecting this response because: unfortunately I have still yet to be refunded as they said I was. In reference to the screenshot I was showing them that I had canceled the service and it was no longer on my account but I was still getting charged. Unfortunately this person has anger issues and cannot slow down enough to grasp the concept here. He owes me a months worth refund. Bottom line. And I have yet to receive it.

      Sincerely,

The claim ************************************* is making is false. Please see the attached proof of the refund to his Paypal account from December 6, 2021.
