Below is a snippet of the review I posted to ****** along with a price breakdown. Also I have pictures of the work.I showed the owner pictures of what I wanted. I also stated that I wanted to add weave into the style for color and fullness and was quoted $******** I made an appointment for 2pm I arrived on time with my hair washed at which point I was told that the price for the style would be $80. I let them know that I was quoted $50 and they said that they could do it for $60.The braider was especially forceful with my hair. Despite this each line of braid (there were only SIX) was extremely fuzzy. These braids freshly done looked like they had been in for months. Strands of hair were sticking out all along the braids. Additionally the parts were incredibly crooked and the braid sizes were inconsistent.Once the braider finished braiding they walked away and the owner came over to ask about the bun. I let them know AGAIN that I wanted a small bun that would be equivalent to my hair plus a small amount of weave. Despite this the braider created 6 large long braid ends which meant that the bun would also be larger then I had asked it to be.The owner dipped the braids. The braids drenched in boiling hot water made contact with my back. The owner obviously seeing the quality of the work attempted to slather my hair in gel to make the style "last longer" and offered to sew the bun in place. At this point I realized I would probably need to take the braids down sooner than later and opted for rubberbands which were added haphazardly. The style was not in any way salvageable and I took it down as soon as I returned home. I would also like to make note of the lack of professionalism of the staff and overall cleanliness of the salon itself.I paid $60 for the braiding and a $6 tip. Also two packages of my blonde color 613 hair weave were used for this style. I also paid a $3 surcharge at the atm.Initial Complaint

I had an unprofessional experience at a salon on 8/4/24. I paid $220 for Senegalese twists. The twists were inconsistent in ***************** & the roots were braided excessively tight, causing severe migraines. Despite expressing my concerns throughout the appointment, the stylist dismissed them.Details:Iniital *************************** Senegalese twists Cost: $220 Issues: Inconsistent size/thickness of twists, tight braiding, hair length not as discussed.Communication: Expressed dissatisfaction throughout. Sent six inspiration images prior, but the result was nothing like them. The hair length was not waist-length as agreed; it fell to my breast due to thin, wispy ends.Follow-up Communication:Date: 8/2/24 Actions: Called the stylist, who was defensive & refused to acknowledge poor work. Offered to add boho hair but refused a full refund.Conversation: Stylist made condescending comments. Initially refused to reveal she was the owner. Admitted ownership only after returning to the shop & arguing for a refund.Visit to the Salon:Date: 8/2/24, 6 PM Actions: Requested a full refund & offered to take down the twists. Owner offered alternative styles or partial fixes but refused to redo the hairstyle. Eventually refunded $120, but I am still owed $100.Outcome: Removed the hairstyle myself, resulting in hair loss due to tension & poor technique. Removed twists within 72 hours due to tension, pain, and hair loss.Impact:Severe headaches and hair loss.Service did not match the advertised quality online.Unprofessional ****************** to provide a full refund.Ruined my subsequent vacation.Resolution Sought: BBB's assistance to obtain a full refund of the remaining $100 & hold the salon accountable for their unprofessional conduct.Supporting Documentation:Photos showing inconsistencies/tension.Communication records.Proof of payment/ partial refund.This experience was unprofessional. The hairstyle was unwearable, damaging, & falsely advertised.
