I engaged Laura's Cleaning Service to clean my studio apartment on Feb. 24, 2023 at a cost of $160. The job number was: SI3444, and the woman assigned to my job was *******The most important part of the job involved the bathroom, as I am 73 yrs old, and I am not able to bend and stoop. ****** spent an inordinate amount of time in the bathroom and, while she was on the premises, a supervisor knocked on my door to check up on ******, who was new. I noticed that ****** was trying to clean the tile grout, and had puddles of a purplish-blue gel in a number of spots on the tile floor. The supervisor noticed this as well, and spoke to her in Spanish about this.I was very distressed when ****** was ready to leave, as there were noticeable splashes and spots on the bathroom tile floor, and I asked her to polish them out. She said the floor was "not level" and left without fixing the problem. She requested that I pay her before the job was completed, as I was paying her in cash. The spots were etch marks on the tile, probably caused by some corrosive chemical that she had used trying to clean the grout, and that she had used carelessly. I tried to clean the spots and they would not come out, no matter what I used to try to buff and take them out. *****, the man who set up this cleaning session, told me on Mar 14th that they would send the supervisor who was here the day ****** did the work on Mar 15 to "do a walk through" and see what could be done.On the 15th, the supervisor did not appear, but another woman was sent in her place, and she arrived one hour late. She took pictures of the spots on the tile, and the Manager. ******* was speaking to us remotely when the girl they had sent was taking pictures of the tile. I told her that I wanted the spots removed, and a refund of my $160 for the shoddy job they had done. She promised to talk to *****, have him call me, and call me back within a hour to verify he had called. I received no call. My floor is damaged.Customer response
