      On 4/24/2024, I received a voicemail from a 720 area code. The caller stated they were from Beltone and I needed to come in for an annual hearing check and to update my hearing aids. I live far outside the 720 area code. I DO NOT have hearing aids, nor have I ever done business with Beltone in any capacity. Take my name and number out of the database; do not contact me.

      In January I received a ad on ******** about getting a free hearing test and a $10 Amazon gift card. My brother and I both made appointments on January 22nd at 12 and 12:30. I waited but neither of us received the gift card. I reached out multiple times through text and phone calls. Everyone was really nice at the appointment. I just wondered if it was sent to the wrong email.

      This is concerning a Beltone hearing aid I purchased there with an employee named *****, but he was transferred to another location and not involved in my complaint. One day I noticed a small separation in one of the hearing aids that was barely noticeable. It was functioning perfectly, but wanted to make sure moisture couldnt get in causing it damage. I visited the ****************** and saw the employee who had taken *****'s place named ***** whom I assumed would be able to assist me. Instead of addressing the minor separation, she attempted to repair it without informing me of her actions, causing the unit to break and no longer work. I was upset by this, but I assumed she would be apologetic for her mistake. However, after she broke it she informed me that she couldnt repair the device and needed to be sent off and I would receive a call once it was ready. Upon returning, I learned that the unit required programming. Despite several attempts, ***** was unable to program the device and, citing her next appointment, stated that she could not continue trying and advised me to have it programmed elsewhere. Then they actually scheduled me for a three month appointment later, even though she had been unable to program my hearing aid and had broken it in front of me. To make matters worse, I was charged $399.54 for the repair of the hearing aid that she had broken. Upset by these events, I asked my son to examine the hearing aid to see if he could program it, assuming that if a trained professional like ***** couldn't, he wouldn't be able to either. However he was able to successfully program it within a few minutes.In an attempt to rectify the situation, my son has been contacting Beltone on my behalf to request a refund for the costs incurred due to the employee's actions. Despite his efforts, when ***** contacted him, she provided him with false information, including the claim that I had my hearing aid taped up, which was entirely untrue.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      ***** from the Beltone office did reach out to my son via phone on 1/12/23 leaving him a voicemail requesting a call back. We assume it was after she was contacted by the BBB. My son had already spoken to ***** on my behalf before we contacted the BBB regarding the charge. They had a lengthy phone call with ***** from Beltone in which she had either had made multiple statements that were untruthful or had  confused me with another customer, but regardless she was at fault for breaking my hearing aid. The same hearing that ***** had told my son was tape up when I had taken it in, but was not, among others, dishonest statements.  
      My son and I see no reason to return *****'s phone call since she was unable to tell the truth. She physically broke the hearing aid causing it to stop working and needs to be held liable. Thank you

      I am replying to reject ***** from Beltone response. ***** from Beltone should be ashamed of herself for not only breaking my hearing aid, but having the audacity to charge me just under $400 for breaking it and its just unacceptable. She may of felt it would be easy to take advantage of me since I am a senior citizen. I can only hope she isnt taken advantage of other senior citizens or anyone else. Please keep my case open. I think its very important to let other know my experience If she truly doesnt want to do the right thing and refund my money. She could be doing the same thing or finding other ways to take advantage of others. 
      She did call once that I can recall after filing this complaint with the BBB, but its pointless nor do I want to speak to someone so dishonest. Thank you, ************************;

      I bought these hearing aids almost a year ago 3 23 23 and have had nothing but trouble with them. i started having problems two months after buying them . I keep going back to have servive done on them and they work for awhile and then something else goes wrong . you can check to see how many times ive had work done on them. I paid **** for these and they work no better than the **** ones i had. right now the right hearing aid is being charged because it won't hold the charge. i cant hear people talk and i have to keep asking what they are saying. Im very disappointed with these hearing aids! the service guy is nice but that is all i can say about the hearing aids .Two months after buying these which i paid cash i ask for the old ones back but he said they were gone. Im very disappointed at this point.

      I am rejecting this response because:I am not sure what details you are talking about. These hearing aids were returned and replaced  once right after i bought them. i kept telling the tech you need to fix them before i can't return them and he kept trying to fix them and now i still have a problem and it's to late  to get a refund  and that is not my intention although the tech should have let me return them . these hearing aids are not what Bell Tone advertises about  how great they are and how they are the latest and greatest. Pleases help me. I could hear better with my old ones!

      I am rejecting this response because: I HAVE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS ISSUE MAINLY FOR THE LAST TWO YEARS AND THE RESPONSE FROM BELTONE IN ******* ********** IS THAT AFTER THE WARRANTY EXPIRES IN MARCH OF **** I WILL BE ON MY OWN WITH BROKEN HEARING AIDS. SHOULD I GET MY MONEY BACK OR A BETTER MODEL HEARING AID SHOULD BE OFFERED TO MY AT NO COST. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THE DESIGN AND FUNCTION OF THE HEARING AID MODEL I HAVE IS DEFFECTIVE AND NON RELIABLE.       The hearing aids were purchased in ************************************************************ your purchase agreement. This is legal and binding in your state. The aids have been repaired under warranty which is normal and customary. There are outside insurance companies that offer additional coverage past ******* warranty.

      I am rejecting this response because: the hearing aids model that I have had been repaired many times and also had been completely replaced for new ones also many times; by saying this I conclude that the model design is defective (lemon) and don't deliver the quality expected and worst of all, it suddenly stop working for no reason. This model should be put out of the market because it mislead customers with deaf disabilities. Customers don't even notice that the hearing aids are not working because of the deaf disability.

      I want to have my money back so I can purchase another trustable brand of hearing aids or I want BELTONE to offer me another model that they know don't have this issues. 

      BELTONE should be trustable and reliable and assume TOTAL responsibility for their defective product.

      We will absolutely stand behind our products and we have done so for over 80 years. However, there isn't anything that you can purchase 3 years ago and return it. The dispenser is more than willing to work with you to make sure you have product that is working appropriately.

      On September 7th, I went to Beltone HA referred by my physician, to have my hearing aids adjusted. Upon reviewing the devices the Beltone Associate told me that one was broken and that they world send it out to get fixed. They charged me $350.00 for the repair and told me that they works have it ready in 3 to 5 weeks. I called them after the 5 weeks and they told me they did not have it ready and for me to wait. I went personally en Thursday November 2nd and they told me they didn't know what was happening and that they world call me. They handbrake call me and they are not giving me an answer as what they are taking so long to get it back to me.

      I bought hearing aids on August 5. I went into store weekly to have them adjusted. The sound was never good enough quality to understand any better ( than without ). At about week 4 the left hearing aide needs to be sent back in for repairs. I cancelled my contract and was told I would receive a full refund. ( on sept 7th). They finally returned my numerous calls. On sept 26. They said my refund would be put back in cards oct 2. This did not happen. I bought hearing Sids that are working from another company already. I did return the purchased heating devices in original packaging on the date mentioned.
