Lowballing to the point of ridiculousness the claim filed against their insured. They dont answer their phones. No way to reach the adjuster or agent. Cannot leave voicemail messages. Really a terrible experience.Review from Luis G

Kemper has not responded to my claim. They assigned me an agent who, apart from being incompetent and racist, continues to lie about sending my check. She blocked my calls and when I call her extension, she doesn't answer either. I haven't been able to contact her supervisor. This actually seems like a joke, but unfortunately it isn't.Kemper Corporation Response

Kemper will not respond to my claims. I have spoken to supervisors ect. I'm always going to get a call back and never do. They are responsible for my vehicle repairs. Their business practices are so bad they should be criminalKemper Corporation Response

Kemper is the worst terrible customer service then I dropped them even though they gave a slightly cheaper quote they are not worth it then I had a balance of 18 dollars and they put it to collections immediately spiteful dishonorable disciple people work here! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! and hope you never have an accident with one of their insured. 10/15 Kempers insured ran a stop sign coming out of an apartment complex crossing into the highway and slammed into the side of our Truck. The police report was made and the other party was given a citation. Kemper insured said she was a diabetic and doesnt know what happened. We have been getting the run around for weeks from the Kemper insurance company We were told on 10/17 that if they determine our vehicle is a total loss the rental vehicle option is closed. A few days later 10/23 we received an automated text that our vehicle was totaled and we should get a response in 3 to 5 Business days. We have called the company sent text and tried to call the adjusters manager but never received a call or response. On 10/29 we received a call from the adjuster informing us he needed to take a statement to move forward. Why didnt he take the statement on 10/17 when he took all the other information about the accident. This is a delay tactic they use to keep from processing claims. After multiple calls to leave voicemails the adjuster called saying he determined the loss is 90 % his insured fault and 10% our fault. He said there is no recourse for us. It is a take it or leave it option How is driving down a straight hwy and the Kemper insureds vehicle entered the hwy from an apartment complex and T boned my vehicle any fault of mine. This was 0 % my fault. Another scam to reduce the amount they pay you for a claim. We have been without transportation since 10/15 and no rental. I personally feel this Agency is taking advantage of us as we are Seniors and they think we have no options for recourse. The adjuster would not allow me to speak to his manager. I advised I will post this review for readers to see. His response was I dont care this is not my company. No resolution to date.Kemper Corporation Response

Horrible ***s ******************* is rude and shows no empathy when handling calls. She never answers the phone and your ultimately left with leaving voicemails that go unreturned. If you dont like being a customer service *** please find another position that doesnt deal with people who are experiencing a loss of any kind. My mother passed away July 2024. She asked me to take over her policies at Kemper prior to her death. I received wrong instructions from the beginning from Kemper. I had six policies to update ownership. First, I was told I had to submit the Ownership Change Form. Then I was told the policies defaulted to the insured and that the insured had to submit the ownership changes to make me the owner, which they did. Then when got to the last policy, I was told, "well this one was written differently, so you will have to do an affidavit. It does not default to the insured, but the next of kin." Grieving and still upset because of all of the hoops that I have to hop through, I did the affidavit. I called them to confirm the change has been made. They tell me that they can't give me any information on that policy. I'm lookin crazy because I just did everything that they told me to do. They tell me that I have to have the insured on the line. I ask why when we both submitted all of the paperwork and I was told that the policy didn't default to him anyway. Keep in mind, he had already submitted all of the "incorrect" paperwork (per Kemper), but now they want to talk to him. If it wasn't for mom, I would jump ship and I am still considering it. I was arguing with the *** for 45 minutes and he still wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor. He said that he spoke to him for me. ***! No, you re-iterated it with your understanding and not mine. Then had the audacity to tell me that he will give his supervisor my number and have them call me in 24 hours. While I'm waiting, I am definitely reviewing this company. I received my renewal documents and saw my premium went up about 1K and when trying to figure out why I was told it is because of 2 at fault claims I had in September and October of last year. The October claim is correct as an at fault fender ****** that resulted in a under 1k claim.The one is September though was a windshield replacement and should not be categorized as an "at fault accident" claim resulting in the drastic ***** in my premium.I have been told to call the claims department at to speak with a claims adjuster about this issue but every time I have called this number I either get hung up on right away or I've been put on hold for over an hour to get hung up on again. On my last attempt when I was finally able to talk to someone I was told to call Safelite (I have and they were not able to help but did confirm this should have been just a comprehensive claim). I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager at this point and supervisor ************ outright refused to speak to me and I was told to call Safelite to fix. I had been trying now for over 3 hours to call this number and was unable to reach anyone there. I was just bout to call it quits and switch to a different carrier when I was finally able to reach out to my agent and they were able to fix the claim to be comprehensive and the premium went down significantly. It is absolutely unacceptable to I had such poor customer service from your claims department and from your supervisor ****. It terrifies me now that should I need to contact the claims department again it would be another horrendous fight to get service and I am seriously considering switching insurance carriers after over 5 years because of this experience.Kemper Corporation Response
