2/5/2022-Initial inquiry 2/7/2022-walk-through and consultation 2/18/2022-Project proposal and contract signed Project Scope:Prep, prime, paint Staircase Walls, paint ceiling, apply Wallpaper at one wall, patching Included Repair, prime, paint Hallway Walls, paint ceiling, patching Included Prep, prime, paint walls and paint ceilings of 3 bedrooms, patching included Preparation/Cleaning Caulking of all baseboards Estimated to take 3-5 days 5-year warranty Grand Total $2,605.00 2/21/2022-Work began Contractor exhibited little urgency to finish the job, so on 3/3/2022 I elected to remove wallpaper from the scope of work and asked for just the paint and caulking to be finished and job site to be cleared and cleaned by end of day 3/4/2022. Contractor reduced payment accordingly. Total paid $2162.75. After reviewing the job, I came across the following issues:-The ceilings were not repainted as discussed and agreed upon. Only the edges were picked up in the bedrooms and the ceiling in the hallway appears to only have been half rolled.-The walls were not properly prepped. There are small holes that were not filled and areas that were not sanded.-Walls were not properly primed. Paint was applied too thinly and unevenly. The color does not match the sample and former color is slightly telegraphing through.-Paint stains on my baseboards and trim in several areas.-Mud and primer drippings on my baseboards in several areas.-Paint/primer stains on my furniture, particularly my bed and rocking chair.-Jobsite was not properly cleaned nor was the furniture reinstalled. -Wood floor has scuffs and scratches from contractors improperly dragging furniture across the floor.-No caulking was done. Contractor admitted to me on last day of job that he did not know how to caulk.-Never received receipts for the two final payments I attempted to contact contractor with my concerns on 3/5/2022, 3/8/2022, and 3/9/2022 but received no response.
