In September 2023 I ordered a solar charge controller from Windsoliel, the next day the owner called me and said he had to cancel my order, he said I could reorder in 10 days, as their credit card system was down. but two weeks later when I received my credit card statement there was a charge for $499.00. I called windsoliel and the owner will not return my money, I have called and talked to him four times, He lied and said he resolved the problem, but when I contacted the credit card company, he had not contacted them, every time I call, he just gives me a new excuse. I had to pay the charge, as the credit card company said I need to resolve problem with ********** myself. He is the owner, ********** **** customer service, and sales manager. I found 87 similar complaints against this company on different forums. I never received any product from Windsoliel. If their credit card system was down, how did they manage to charge my credit card.? I never reordered..Business response

Hello, We have sent a check to ************************* via mail. We have provided a photo of the tracking no. receipt. He is expected to receive it by this Saturday per the tracking no. Please let us know if there is anything else is needed from us. Thanks

Signed contracts for solar energy system design and installation 09/30/22. In January of 2023 system was somehow cancelled by the company, but was reinstated with new contracts signed. System was installed February 2023. System has yet to be activated! We have contacted the subcontractor, the company and our main energy company over the past 2 months to get the system up and working. Everyone says its not their issue. Come to find out through a very patient energy company worker that Windsoleil never sent in the payment and paperwork to the energy company so that the system switch could be completed. The contact number for the company just rings busy constantly for the past week so you cant talk to anyone. After 7 months we are very frustrated that we are unable to use our solar system and that Windsoleil is not doing their job in this situation! We would love help rectifying this issue.Business response

We are going to follow up with the energy provider and see when they can come out to do the final inspection for the system. They will be the ones to give us the permission to operate the system. We will contact the clients with updates regarding this to get their system up and running.Customer response

We signed a contract for solar panels in Nov. 2020 for our house. We would contact Windsoleil regarding this job but kept getting excuses for why they haven't been out to put on the solar panels. The bank contacted us about starting to make payments on the loan. At this time we did not even have any solar panels on the house. Windsoleil drew ***** out in May to purchase the materials. The bank gives them 90 days to install then they billed us for the first payment. They started to take ***** out of our bank account in August 2021. Every month a payment comes out of our account. We are still paying our electric **** with no discount. At this time we still did not have any solar panels on the house or even hear from Windsoleil. We called the bank and they told us about the 90 days. They were surprised it was not installed. Between them and us we got Windsoleil to come out in August 2021. Slowly we were finally getting the solar panels on our house and garage. They started putting them on the garage first which we were not informed that they were going to put them on the garage. It was just going to be the house. It took several months for everything to get installed. The ********************* came out to inspect the job and it did not pass inspection. There were multiple infractions. Windsoleil was informed that the job did not pass inspection and they have not been out to fix it. The Village is upset that the permit is going to expire and the job has not been fixed. They have stated they might fine us due to the job not being completed. We are supposed to get a rebate of 26% from the ****************** that they gave us to send in, under *********************** which my name is *************************, when the job is completed but we cannot send it in due to the job not being done. Due to all of this delay the ******** Shine ***** might not be there so I am going to loose out on that. This is costing us more ***** than it should plus so much time and aggravation.Business response

We have completed the ************************* *********** System installation in its entirety. We have connected the solar panels, the electrical system, have passed the inspection, and have turned the system on. So their solar power system is producing power, as we have shown via the attachment showing the solar panel production from the app. We have passed the inspection and have shown the approved inspection from the municipality (AHJ). We have also provided reimbursement checks for all the months that their system was not on and they were paying for their system. We have attached all evidence of this to the email. They will also receive their illinois shines money as we have already started their application and know where they stand. So now their system is on and they are saving money on electricity. The homeowners are able to view the solar panel production themselves if they need to.Please let us know if you need anymore information. ThanksTeddyCustomer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me except for the following I would like to state.
I talked to Com ** and they say we are not activated yet. They have to wait and check the paperwork. It is sad that we had to complain to the BBB in order to get our solar power system completed by Windsoleil. It took nearly a year and half and the *************** said it should only take 90 days.
