BAIT AND SWITCH BUSINESS SCAM On 9/12/23, I dropped off my car at Quality Mufflers, in ***********, **. The mechanic, *******, assured me that they could change all of the fluids for $450.00. I thought it was a bit high priced but agreed.He then gave me an itemized list of all the fluids they would change. I thought it was a bit high but agreed. I was told my car would be ready in about 3 hours. When I hadn't heard anything after 3 hours, I called *******. He told me the shop was backed up and my car would not be ready for another 2 days.He continued to say my car was on their lift and they were in the middle of the job, but other more urgent.When I went to pick up my car, I handed ******* my credit card. He charged it, then handed me a receipt for $650.00, (which I have attached.) I reminded him that we had agreed on the $450.00 cost of the fluid changes. He said they had "run into some problems." I reminded him that he had never contacted me regarding any "additional problems". He gave me no reply.I have contacted my credit card company and they are supposed to be working on changing my card charge to $450.00. Even if that is done, I still would like others to know of my "Bait and Switch" transaction.Thank you, *************************Business response

To whom it may concern; Last September, Mrs. ***** called Quality Mufflers for a quote of fallowing services; transmission flush , coolant flush, power steering flush and brake ************** for a total of approximately ****** dollars plus taxes. The next day she came to the shop so we could perform those services while she was in the shop she asked me the price of the rear differential fluid flush and the front transfer case fluid flush, I told her that they were ***** for each one and she told me to check them and if it was necessary that I could perform the service, which I agreed to do.She immediately replied, it's better to change them once and for all.I told her that it was fine and that I would call her when her car was ready.
It is worth mentioning that when she made the payment, she replicated the price and I reminded her that she requested that we do the other two services and agreed to the payment.
