I completed job number J101234 with Tremendous Reward ID: ************. About April 1, I emailed Tremendous Rewards about another physical reward card that never arrived, that reward was resolved. At the same time I notified them on the morning of April 2nd that the reward for the above ID never arrived. On April 3rd, the agent told me the reward had been used. They issued me another card for the remaining balance of 47 cents. Upon received that card, I activated it and was able to see the previous transaction at *******. I was able to track the Raceway to a location 1.5 hours away and I saw the reward was used 1.5 hours before the agent let me know it was used. I have a locked mailbox with a key at my apartment complex so this is baffling. Also Tremendous has no security on the cards. They have not employed the practice of sending the card, then sending the *** in a separate envelope, nor is there any entering of birthdate, SSN, or email to use the card. ********** also does not have any notes or highlights about lack of security or letting people know they should opt for a virtual card and that they can add it to ****** or Apple Pay. No security whatsoever. I have reached out the merchant as told to do. I have also filed a complaint with ***** Curion as **********' client should be aware of Tremendous' lack of diligence especially since it is well known fraud is a huge issue. Please issue me my full $50 payment. I have exahusted all other channels and it seems like no one is really concerned. I appreciate your time, response, and proper resolution.Business response

On 5/9, after investigating the issue, Curion issued a new payment to this consumer and advised her to select electronic payment instead of a physical card. She has since participated in another study with Curion, so we believe that she is satisfied with the resolution.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: While I have participated in one study and finally received a refund, it is a lazy response on the part of the business. None of the issues were addressed or actually remedied to include what they will do or change going forward. It's obvious that after so many issues getting a physical card, that I would opt for a virtual card. I could figure that one out without advice from Curion. They issued a payment after over a month of communication which was an exhausting experience.

Curion replaced the consumer's card and apologized for the inconvenience. Curion has thousands of consumers participate in paid market research each year, and has consistently and successfully paid consumers for their services via Tremendous (Curion's payment vendor). We unfortunately cannot control the delivery of a physical card, but offer this as a convenience to our consumers, and physical delivery forces us to rely on Tremendous and the ***** On 5/9 ************ indicated that she was pleased with our resolution as communicated verbally to a member of our staff (see attached comment from consumer's profile notes); we were authorized to replace the card entirely at Curion's expense. The advice to select a virtual card in the future was meant to avoid additional delivery issues while she, the **** and/or the authorities investigate. Since Curion offers both virtual and physical card delivery, we believe that the response was legitimate and meant in good faith. There are currently no plans by Curion to change our existing payment vendor.Initial Complaint

I have been doing studies w them for the last couple of years! In November 2023, there was an incident that occurred. I had to bring my kids (which I have done before and have never been told not to) and my son came in while I was doing a study to use the bathroom. He unfortunately had no shoes on so they told him he can not be in there and has to leave. I had 5 min to complete the study so I had them stand outside. The employee saw them fighting outside so they got me and said I had to leave (and they were not disrupting anyone). I of course came out yelling at them because I got upset and the scene escalated. They banned me from the facility because of this. They claim they have warned me before and I said I would not bring them back. This place is very nasty. Give me a warning or put me on a three mos hiatus. But dont BAN me from my jobBusiness response

**************** states that she brought her child/children to our facility, which is is violation of our policy posted at: *********************************************************************************************************:
* Only scheduled panelists are allowed on the premises during testing. No guests will be permitted in the facility.
* Please refrain from bringing children into any part of the facility unless they are participating in a study. This is to ensure the safety and well-being of your children.
When on-site (on or around 11/22/23), our staff documented that she was "yelling and hitting her child", and she was asked to leave the facility. ******************** behavior disrupted our business and upset other participants. In addition, when suspended, **************** created a new account to circumvent her suspension which is also against our policy.Participation at Curion is not a "job". There is no obligation for Curion to allow disruptive or non-compliant consumers to maintain active status. Per our guidelines, Curion reserves the right to permanently suspend the consumer at the discretion of the Facility or Recruiting Manager.
**************** has been informed on several occasions that she will not be reinstated. We thank her for her past participation, but will not allow her to rejoin or be reinstated.Initial Complaint

I did six surveys that took about 10 minutes each. I collected 20 points per survey. Then I found out that I have to collect 1000 points to get *****. So my 120 points works out to 1.20 for an hour of my time! I guess that they did nothing illegal. However, they should explain the pay rate better. If my understanding of the above is incorrect, and the pay in respectful, then I apologize. I will be willing to continue with this company.Business response

The surveys you completed are surveys that help Curion better match you with upcoming opportunities, and we appreciate your time and effort in filling them out. We state on our website that minimum redemption requirement is ***** points, but we appreciate your feedback and will strive to better communicate what these surveys are for and how they work. Previously, these surveys did not award points. When we heard from our consumers that they were unhappy to spend time for no reward, we began awarding point for these efforts. Although the completion of these quick surveys alone will not allow consumers to redeem points, by filling them out additional opportunities with points awards will be presented. Ultimately, our goal for each consumer is to send survey opportunities that will match them with paid product tests. I did a 15-day skin study with curion and was expected to be paid, I believe, $100. I drove 42 miles to curion to pick up the cream. Over time, I got an email that I logged in and shot the videos required while using the 3 creams required and did all the surveys sent to me. At times, it would not allow me to upload the video, and on the site, it gave an address to email them in. No one ever d about the videos emailed in, and after the videos wouldn't upload, the site would kick me out and not let me answer the question because there was an error on it. But, I continued using the cream and uploading and sending emails. Now I haven't heard anything from them. I didn't understand what code needed to be put in, and thought it was the **** code. So now they are refusing to pay me when I spend a lot of time shooting these videos with my phone and covtering them to email them in. And doing the surveys that are available. I did everything that was sent to me, including the surveys. This took up a lot of my time, i pay gor gas, toll each way! And it took an hour and half and waited 20 minuteswhen i was there. And when their site won't allow videos to upload to it It kicks you, so you cant answer anything. I came back and tried tons of time. But this is their error, and they are now refusing to pay me. This is so dishonest and wrong!! Then they sent me an email saying I failed to cancel the study and I didn't participate. when I participated the whole time. There are errors and bugs on the site.Business response

After investigating this complaint, we found that **************** only completed part one of the three part survey, and she spoke to a member of our staff who explained to her that all requirements for the study were not completed. The instructions for completion, plus screenshots of all communications we received from ****************, are attached. The timeline of information we have on record, and her responses clearly show that she did not follow instructions as provided to her. Curion is willing to compensate this consumer at 50% of the incentive due to the difficulty she experienced, which is an exception to our consumer policy. This is a one-time exception only - normally, when consumers do not complete their study, they are not compensated.

I am rejecting this response because: I completed all 3 videos as required, and I explained to **** that there was only a survey missing. I could not do one because their video camera had an error and kept kicking me put so I couldn't proceed with the survey aspect. At which there was an email address to send the videos that wouldn't upload. I emailed them in and they never responded to them. Also, I was participating the entire time, I spend a lot of time shooting and editing *** used the products. They failed to respond. I would the wrong ID number in for the study. I put in **** instead of the correct code. I did everything that was avaible to me. They had glitches and I was kicked out. When I returned it try again it showed completed. Also, **** agreed they would pay be by Tuesday the full amount. I spoke to **** today and she said I though you were paid. She agreed to a 100 percent. Also, I spent a lot of time driving there and back and paying for gas and tolls. **************** traffic.

Thank you for your response, however, you state "that there was only a survey missing".Without all completed portions of the study, the remaining data collected cannot be used. We do understand that there was some difficulty in contacting us, however, it is the responsibility of the participant to complete all portions of the study to be paid. I am rejecting this response because: I already spoke to **** who agreed I would be paid in full by last Tuesday. And I'm sure the call is recorded. The errors were on the site. And it closes out and would accept the video and kicked me out. I spent alot if time shooting and editing to make the videos fit in an email. I used all the creams. And they didn't repond to my emails. The error was on the site. So, it wasn't my fault. I spend alot of time money and hassles. I told **** last week if something wasn't completed because if the site error, I would be glad to answer all the questions by phone if needed since the website failed!

Instructions were stated clearly on the initial packing slip, provided with the product at pick up. Per our initial attachment, our internal review shows:
"There is no communication from her after 11/9. During this time she was supposed to complete all parts of the study by 11/21. Its not until 11/30, past the final due date, that she reached out again - this time to ******************************************** sending several emails saying her study disappeared, she needs the info, she forwards the video..."
We can only authorize 50% payment. The study was required to be completed by 11/21, with a video due on 11/16 and one due on 11/21. Completion of all requirements is necessary for full compensation.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I sent them the second video! And it shows the second, then later a third. I contacted them later because I assumed I compled the study like my email states! And they they never reponded to the sent videos! So I never knew there was a problem intill I didn't hear from them for payment! This is an issue onvtheir part! And **** agreed to pay in full already and it is recorded, and it's a verbal agreement they went back on. And I still haven't been paid!

I was deactivated from doing surveys because of supposed complaints from other panelists and employees. When I inquire as to why I was removed, I am told to email different email addresses with my concern. I never hear back from them when I email or phone as to my question of deactivation.Business response

Yes, **************** has been permanently suspended by Curion. In the notes in his profile (documentation of conversations and activities generated during interactions with ****************), he has let front desk and kitchen employees know that he knows where they live - mentioning their specific home towns. In addition, we have received many complaints regarding his inappropriate behavior from both Curion employees and other consumers. Although we have both emailed him letting him know his suspended ************ discussed his suspension via phone on several occasions, he continues to try to get reinstated. It is also noted that he verbally understood and agree to his suspension on two different occasions. Unfortunately, we cannot reinstate **************** due to his disruptive behavior.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: I have never did the things I am accused of. I do not even talk to the employees nor do I talk to the other panelists that are in my group. There is no way I can talk to the kitchen employees because of the wall between us during studies. These are false accusations and I would like some physical evidence to proof what I am being accused of.

I do work as a tester for this Curion company and get paid with gift cards that have an expiration date of up to 90 day time frame from when they are processed.I miss placed these cards in work being done at my home. When I found them, they were already expired but never used at all. I have 11 cards between my son and myself that are unused and expired. The amount total is about $500. We still do work with Curion but are asking for some sort of exception for these. Things happen and we would appreciate an exception to their expiration.I reached out to the card company and got a respond that they could not do anything.I then called and left messages to Curion and got no responses back.I then reached the Curion ** location to ask for some help and they forwarded it to Curion offices and they responded that they could not do anything.My big question is then who gets this money??? I am sure many people lose their cards or they expire before they use the money so how is this allowed to not give a reissue of the money ?.Business response

Thank you for your comment. We are sorry to hear that your cards have expired, unfortunately, Curion pays for *********** services in advance so any re-issuance would be at the sole discretion of Tremendous.
On the payment FAQ on Curion's website the following information regarding expiration is listed:
Does my Tremendous card have an expiration date?
Yes. The reward link in your email expires if you do not redeem it within 3 years. Once the reward is redeemed, its subject to the terms of the reward option chosen by the recipient. In general, ** **** cards (both Virtual & Direct Shipped Physical) expire six months after activation. If your funds expire, please contact *******************.On the Tremendous site, they explain:
My card expired. Can Tremendous send me a new card?
If your Tremendous prepaid card has expired, Tremendous is not responsible for replacing any remaining funds. By accepting a Tremendous reward, recipients agree to Tremendous cardholder agreement, which states:
The Card has a VALID THRU expiration date embossed on the front of the Card. Once this expiration date has passed, the Card will be voided and will not be replaced except in our sole discretion. All funds on the Card expire on the expiration date shown on the Card. If you do not spend all the funds on the Card prior to this expiration date, the remaining funds will not be available to you.
