My doctor sent my new blood pressure medication to walgreens instead of optumrx so that I could make the change same day. Walgreens refused to transfer to optumrx . Then when I went to refill 1 of 3 refills with home delivery they let it sit there for 3 weeks with zero contact! They told me that it was "too early" to refill and insurance would not cover it. So what!? I have a card on file and they never called me! I asked how much it was and they said $200! I ended up being able to send it to ****** where it was only $16. AVOID WALGREENS ! WALGREENS IS A HORRIBLE COMPANY!Review from Dominique S

If I could rate below one star I would. This is regarding the Walgreens location on ************ in ******, **. Normally I get my prescriptions filled at the store on ********* in ******, SC but they are closed on the weekends. I take a controlled substance for anxiety and PTSD. During the course of this week I have been hung upon by two different pharmacists from the ************ location and told by the store manager she would call me back but never did. For people that take controlled substances, there needs to be an option in place on the weekends to get medication. These are medications you cannot just stop taking without possible medical repercussions. I'm just told there's nothing they can do and to go to the hospital. I will be transferring all my prescriptions to ******* and will be done with this store for good.Review from jackie g

Terrible customer service at **********************************************************************. There is a sign to check in with a QR code in the pharmacy area. I went through the process and was told I was checked in and someone would get with me. When someone came to the area and saw me I was criticized because I didnt come to the counter to check in. The person continued to be very rude when I explained that I followed the instructions. The person never said she was sorry and that they didnt abide by corporate rules regarding the check in system. The sign should be removed if they are not going to follow it. **************** training is badly needed.Review from ty b

I submitted In person my family valued negatives to a female Walgreen's employee to be developed into Photos on March 27, 2022 about 10:00 pm at the Walgreens location of **************. ****************************** store # ***** and being that I gave my only copy of negatives to the female Walgreens employee in good faith I expected my negative photo order to be developed into nice photos upon my request, but since then I never received my negatives born nor was I given my nice photos from the development of the negatives that I gave the female Walgreens employee upon my request until this day either. I stressed to the corporate office that I have no replacement for my negatives that seem to disappear without my approval or consent of the matter. I requested a complete detail investigation report on every possible reason why I do not have the same service in return what was given in good faith to be developed into photos from my negative film drop off at this Walgreens location a couple of years ago and what will be done so this may never occur to anyone ever again and more details as a result, transparency and definitely accountability. I am very concerned because for one reason is that this disheartening and reprehensible experience is absolutely a very serious cause of concern in my complaint. Walgreen has since contacted me via email and stated that an investigation will be conducted, but Walgreens store # ********************************************************************* is being conduct since my first out of several complaints to Walgreens about the matter and I want nothing more than to have my family valued negatives and photos returned back to me and I would be more than satisfied in the concerns of my complaint if my negative or cd format copy of my negatives and my family valued photos from my photo order at Walgreens is found in a timely manner and returned back to me in good faith according to my exact specification in the demands of my request.Review from Dianne M

Walgreens Pharmacy on ***************** in ************** ** are full of incompetent staff as they have displayed unethical behaviors by messing around with peoples medications. This Walgreens needs to be SHUT DOWN. I've been trying to speak with a pharmacy tech for over 2 hours while waiting on hold and then I receive a text message stating the pharmacy is temporarily closed. What is going on within this Walgreens? I will be contacting individuals of higher authority to have Walgreens FULLY investigated.Review from Michael S

I think the BBB needs to allow for negative ratings, especially with pharmacies like Walgreens.First, I was forced to Walgreens when our Rite Aid was bought out. Rite Aid was the best of the pharmacies that we had. The others were driven out of business by the likes of Walgreens, *******, and CVS. Since Walgreens has taken over, only one of the pharmacy staff remain. This lone holdout is the last pharmacist, *******. He is the ONLY reason my family has stayed with this joke of a pharmacy. He is nice, polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. Rite Aid's entire staff was like this. Walgreens' staff seem to be hired because they are the exact opposite. They are also rotated, so you never know who will be working. This means, more often than not, going to pick up medicine is only slightly less painful than a root canal, without anesthesia.Finding a parking space is a problem. We have just under ****** people in the area and it seems that every single one of them shops here. You can get in line, at the drive thru, and average 20 minutes waiting, or you can go inside and STAND for that long. If you are elderly and/or disabled, this becomes torture. I cannot count the number of times that people have backed out of the drive thru line because the wait was too long. Then, when you get to the window, you may or may not get the medicines you need. It seems I am the only person in ****** who takes about half of my medicines. They constantly have to order them. If these are on automatic refill, why? They don't seem to be able to keep these in stock. They also don't seem to want to order them until the day they are to be filled, so I have to wait. This can be 24 hours or up to four days. Granted, these aren't life threatening, but going off of them can complicate health conditions and increase pain.Walgreens puts this off on staff shortages. This is about stock and not people. It is also about profit at the customer's expense, pain, and suffering.
