Mr **** ****** ..did explain what I needed for my sewer issue backing up in the basement and what benefits would be best from when he did an estimate.. after receiving the estimate bid which was one of 2 bid. Mr ****** bid was $2600 less than the asking price of the 2 bids but $2600 more on the home advisor guideline. Mr ****** stated that his work was warranted as long as he was in business and as long as I was living at my current address… he ensured me that this would correct my sewer issues of the sewer backing up into my basement…. This estimate was done on December 18th 2019… upon starting this job I received his bid of what would be done for installing new sewer pipe from the back of the house to the back gate of the yard. I had sewer backup twice since the job took place and contacted Mr ****** which he stated because of the heavy rain on called 1 was due to the sewer backup… upon contacting Mr ****** on 5/30/22 2 contacted Mr ****** again concerning the sewer backing up again Mr ****** stating he would come by to check out what was going on. He came out and checked the sewer he didn’t check the basement where the sewer was backed up he checked the outside outlet he left without informing me of his finding.. I called Mr ****** which at that time he stated he was about to contact me. Mr ****** stated he couldn’t put the camera down the sewer line to take pictures or couldn’t find the city sewer outlet which he did when he did the estimate… he stated I needed to call someone to do a blowout of my line.. which mean I would have to pay again for something I paid him to replace so I would not have this problem.. I also asked Mr ****** why my area where they dug up the yard had not level back and it’s been almost 3 years and I was told by the worker it would level back to it original level he stated he have no ideal he didn’t come out but once upon completion. He stated he believed the city has my sewer line tied into something else how could that be.

Our company provided all services per our contract, I spent 3 hours inspecting the issue and found that there is blockage further down the line, which we did not replace. Our contract never included any grading or leveling.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:mr ****** install a new sewer line from the back of my house to the fence which should have connected to the city main sewer line. He knew where the blockage was which he state it was from my clean out which was in the middle of my yard to the alley and connects to the city’s sewer line he had to buy the permit from the city hall ( east St. Louis Illinois) he had to have all marking to digging. He was very aware of the location of the blockage and didn’t connect to new pipe to the sewer line so he never cut the original blockage from the line and connected the new pipe to the remaining old pipe

      Sincerely,

      ***** *******
