I won a jackpot in the amount of $1259.00 in 2022. I received a w2g at the time. The Casino Queen reported to the IRS that I won $125,900.00. This is a huge mistake!. I contacted them to ask for a W2g correction to be made. They denied any responsibility and refused to make the correction. They blamed the IRS. I was told that at lest 20 people have complained and nothing as been done. This error is huge and is causing people to get audited. The IRS system only report the data they received. Every company send the data to the same system. This is not an IRS error, its a Casino Queen Error. Someone added two zeros. I pray by mistake and they need to issue out mass corrected W2g to everyone that hit a jackpot in 2022 or give the customers the difference in the money they reported paying out to the IRS.Business response

Thank you for affording Casino Queen the opportunity to respond. We have reviewed our records and found that the customer is correct. We issued an accurate W2G to the customer but found that the reporting records to the IRS contained an error causing the removal of a decimal point. We have communicated directly with the IRS about making the correction and received their recommendation about how to help resolve this. As soon as we have corrected the record with the IRS, we will be sending a letter to the customer to provide to the IRS that includes the recommended information.
