  I purchased a replacement wheel cover for my 99 ****** Camry for $85.00. When I received it two of the tabs had been glued back on. The next day the hubcap flew off. I retrieved it and of course one of the glued on tabs had broken. I called Suburban Wheel cover and they stated they could not do anything and the glued on tabs were a good thing because they were reinforced. I feel they should refund my money. ***************.

  This customer purchased a used hubcap that is approximately 23 years old. It is made of plastic. When plastic is that old we sometimes re-enforce the plastic legs on the back with commercial grade epoxy. This makes the legs stronger than a new hubcap. This customer received the hubcap and then claimed it fell off within a day or two. He called us on the phone this morning and complained that it fell off. His perception of the epoxy was that the hubcap was no good because of that. We have been doing this since **** and we have used this epoxy for over 20 years. It works perfect and the hubcap was 100% structurally sound. When we told the customer this he became irritated and hung up on us. Prior to buying the hubcap from us this customer had already lost a hubcap which is why he came to us in the first place. Was that hubcap also defective? No. The fact of the matter is that any hubcap can fall off for a variety of reasons. Suburban Wheel Cover does not guarantee any hubcaps to stay on a vehicle because the vehicle is not stationary. It moves at high speeds. It hits bumps and potholes. Some drivers drive very aggressively. Some vehicles could have a bent wheel or bad suspension which can also contribute to a hubcap falling off. there is not one hubcap company in the country that will guarantee a hubcap to stay on a car. Even car manufacturers will not guarantee them to stay on. Aside from all of that it could have also been stolen off his car. We will not be held responsible for this hubcap falling off his car.

  We stand by our prior statements regarding the re-enforced legs on the back of the hubcap and our stance on hubcaps staying on a wheel. However - I did not realize that you retrieved the hubcap. Please send me pictures of the front and the back. I might be able to repair it for you.

  I am rejecting this response because: I purchased another used hubcap for $39.00 plus shipping and my daughters car is back to normal. I never should have accepted what was shipped to me.

  We are happy that you were able to find another hubcap somewhere else for less money. Just as we can't guarantee a hubcap to stay on the one you just bought from this person would also not be guaranteed to stay on. We reject your statement that we "got you" for $85.00. We work very hard to deliver quality hubcaps to our customers. Your car is a **** which means it is 23 years old. The hubcaps are discontinued at ****** so used hubcaps are the only option for those customers who want to keep their car original. We delivered a nice looking good quality used hubcap to you. Unfortunately you are claiming that it fell off. It was in good working condition when we shipped it to you. What happened after you got it is out of our control.
