I paid a deposit on March 31st of this year for packaging as it was expressed "I had to" to get 5% off. As a side note, the price was 35% higher than competitors offering the exact same quote/design/size. However, this vendor had been in contact with me a lot so I wanted to provide business for his time. I submitted prepress art to get the ball rolling early on so we can expedite print. I confirmed we could in fact expedite print within 10 business days of proof approval - especially since I already worked all the art out, and they were prepared for this order. I confirmed the production was performed stateside in ** and that the timeline would be honored. I paid. I asked for an update a couple weeks later and was told the boxes were almost done and set to be shipped out. My ETA was by end of May. Then first week of June. Then the next day, then the next day. I could not obtain a tracking number for days and when I finally did I was told "it will for sure be there Wendesday." Then, "it is coming Thursday." I was finally able to track and let the rep know it said "Friday." Then it didn't show up. I called *** and they said the package sat for 3 days before being given to them. I called custom boxes who also confirmed this. Then, *** let me know they could not find the package and that the shipper had to report it for a claim to get started. Meanwhile, the rep insisted that it was found, that it was on its way, and to not contact *** anymore. That they would handle it. The point is the package was lost. *** confirmed this and instead of performing a reorder I was told "it's coming, we know where it is." But days ticked by. I was told I would be refunded and compensated for the loss even before all of this. About a week into it being late. When I finally convinced the vendor (today) to perform a reprint. They stated there is no way they can issue a refund because they submitted a reprint. However, I don't have anything. So why do I have to pay?
