I was looking for a Yorkie puppy to purchase and came across a puppy on the puppies.com website. I messaged the seller to ask for more pictures and she responds pretty fast. She sent more pictures, and we also spoke on the phone as well. I agreed to purchase the puppy for $1500 and informed her that I could drive down that weekend which was 2 days away. ****** then told me that he would be taken to vet on Friday (the day before I due to pick puppy up) and she would contact after the visit to let me know that everything was good with his visit. I received a text that his visit went well and he was good to go. I was also told that the puppy was puppy pad trained and that was a lie as well. My son's and I drove down that Saturday to pick the puppy up, we met a Casey's gas station for the exchange. The puppy has been fine up until yesterday April 25th, 16 days after purchase. I contacted ****** @JM Hillside Kennel and her response was that he was fine when he left and that "Kennel Cough" which is what he was diagnosed with doesn't come from an unclean Kennel. Although that is exactly what it comes from, I never mentioned this to her about HER Kennel but somehow she already knew about it. This puppy was sold under false pretenses and I want a refund of $1800. $1500 for purchase and $300 for vet visit/medicine.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:
Although she said the puppy was taken to the vet, she didn't provide proof. She only provided a shot record. Now that I think about it she could've made that up herself. Since this complaint was filed, I have had to take puppy back to the vet because he wasn't getting better.

      Sincerely,
