In September 2022, we contracted Murati plumbing to perform a number of repairs and maintenance in our home. We put a deposit of $3,000+ on parts, and then paid in full $1,950 for labor. Murati did not complete the work he was contracted to do, and some of the work he did was shoddy and made some issues worse. He drove off without a word while working on our house and has not responded to us since promising to send us a check to reimburse us for the work he did not complete. We have a picture of the part of he was supposed to replace (a cartridge in our shower--picture attached), but likely did not as it appeared to be the old part as another plumber showed us. In any case, that **** became worse after his work. He did not replace the bathroom faucet that he was contracted to replace. Our water line to the fridge was slow, but he left it inoperable by cutting it (we had to pay to fix it). He did not put lids on sump pumps he replaced. He did not fix a leak in the kitchen sink that he said he would fix. He did not seal the kitchen sink as he said he would. The faucet he replaced in the second kitchen was left loose. We have records of his texts including those promising reimbursements. We calculate that he owes us a total of $1,475: $375 (fridge water line repair) + $275 (kitchen faucet improperly installed) + $325 (bathtub shower cartridge improperly repaired) + $300 (bathroom sink not installed) + $100 (kitchen sink not sealed) + $100 (leak under kitchen sink not fixed).
