We are a GC and we do a lot of ground up projects that require us to place a temporary fence around the construction area .We rented this type of fence from Driven fence for a period of 3 months . We paid for the installation with a credit card that was saved in their system because we used to rent from them before.When we got to the finish of the project i sent an email on December 22nd 2023 to them requesting the removal of the fence on 12/27/23 as they always suggested at least 5 business days ahead so they can schedule us accordantly. Their reply was that their business will be close 12/23/23 -01/01/24 returning 01/02/24 and just at that time they will be able to have it picked up.Mind , there was no email sent to us ahead of time informing about the change in their schedule so we can arrange an early removal.We couldn't leave the fence around the property because the store was opening on 12/30/2023, so we collected the panels, stands and bags and placed them on the side for Driven to collect on 02/02/24.We then were issued a $3200 bill on 2/4/24 telling us that 5 panels and 34 stands were missing.I requested pictures or any proof of this and they didn't have any. Mind there is nowhere in their policy that says the client is responsible in case the panes are stollen. I tried reasoning with them as it wasn't our fault they were closed . They went ahead and charged our card for full amount of $3200.We are extremely disappointed by their customer service, by how they managed this situation so we need you please look into this.
