      Transaction date: 3/16/2023 amount charged was $498. I got an email that stated my money would be refunded within 24 hours. The transaction was for auto insurance. The insurance broker told me the payment was a down payment for the first month's premium. I spoke to multiple people on the phone that day and was told I would get a discount if I gave them a review immediately. They also got my payment before I signed anything electronically. I was told that no other insurance companies would insure my car which was a Kia ********* Also was not told that the payment included a $195 fee just for setting up the account. I was also told over the phone that I could cancel this policy and get a full refund of my "down payment". The car dealer had submitted all the papers and told me I had to go with them and I could cancel this insurance as soon as I found another one the next morning. They had the payment pending but still put it through. I still haven't received the expected refund and after calling again on 3/23 I was told it takes 2-3 weeks.

      Feb 19 2022 I purchased car insurance from this agency the car ended up being a lemon so I gave the car back. In paid ****** for car insurance I sent over paper work to verify i gave the car back when I called to see why I hadn't received my refund that when first ******* said they refunded it back to assurance and that it went back to a company card by the name of ***** Airs I said how is that possible when I paid with my card upon the situation I called and have been calling for two and half weeks and get told everytime that hes in a meeting or no one is there when I did speak with him he was very rude and nothing still has not been resolved when I asked him how did it go back to a company card and I paid with my card he said that not unusual because it's a third party and companies do it all try he time also they charged me a premium and I didn't say anything about it

      We empathize with Ms. **** ***** however It seems the insured became did not provide the necessary documents needed for a full refund therefore received a prorated refund minus a cancellation charge due to the nature of  cancelation.

      of a directly attributable premium amount of a corresponding contract or policy, the disclosure must also include the signature of the consumer or contracting party acknowledging the compensation or fee.

              (2) If an insurance policy or contract is cancelled
      for any reason within 90 days following the inception date, the producer or business entity shall refund to the consumer a prorated portion of the fee or compensation within 30 days after the producer or business entity receives proper documentation that the corresponding insurance policy or contract has been cancelled. At no time shall a producer or business entity charge the consumer a fee or compensation for cancellation of any insurance policy or contract.
