On 8-6-22 I participated in a market that was hosted by ************************* and her business, Rustic Vintage Fair. It was promoted as 120+ and 150+ vendors, which ended up being 38 vendors total. We would not have done this if we knew there would be 38 vendors attending, which should have been disclosed and updated on her page as the event date neared, to prospective attendees and to vendors. As I stated in my original message to ****, she noted covid cancellations but there is no way she had over 100 vendor cancellations. If she did, this show should have been rescheduled and/or cancelled. Not even going as far as charging a $4 entry fee and promoting ample parking, which was not the case at all due to another event across the parkway.**** charged $145 for each vendor under false pretenses, simple as that. This is the absolute highest amount we have ever paid for a show (we have done plenty) and for it to be for less than 40 vendors and making $17 the entire day (which has never happened), we simply wanted our money back and to forget this happened. **** refused, stating the contract noted no refunds, yet then she offered to give me transfer to another date (which was also noted as not an option in her contract).This was embarrassing for us as professional business owners and reflects poorly on everyone vendors in attendance, organizers, and to customers. MANY vendors wanted their money back, many vendors left beyond early due to the lack of attendance by vendors and customers plus the blistering heat. We made a reasonable request and expected decency and professionalism to no avail. This was our first (and last) show with ***** business and we simply want our money back due to the outlandish and intentional false advertising.
