I had called Barreca after we moved into our new home to get an estimate about the driveway. They informed me the charge would be $120 and would not be charged until services were complete and asked for a card to put on file, which i had to provide in order to secure an appointment. They came out on a Thursday morning and did a single sealcoat, without filling in any cracks, and brushed this brown liquid all over my driveway and then left. I called the business to ask what was going on and the receptionist ***** informed me they were on rain watch and would have someone back out in the afternoon to finish the driveway, they never returned. I called back Friday morning to ask what was going on and even she was surprised to hear they had not returned the day prior to finish the work but that they didn't have anyone in the area to finish it until Sunday. I had to reschedule a delivery because my driveway was incomplete and couldnt have them dump gravel in the road. I argued with them and they sent someone out late Friday evening after the driveway was already shaded over and they REPEATED the same crack seal process instead of applying the finish top coat and again left. I have tried to resolve the issue with them directly but refuse to deal with the matter and i feel as though i have been stolen from since they charged me incomplete services that Friday and refuse to take any responsibility. They also provided me no invoice or receipt to prove that they provided any service at all, they just charged my card and wouldnt pick up my calls. I had reached out to another business in my area and explained the situation and showed them my driveway, to which they even suggested reporting the complaint here because the work looked terrible.Initial Complaint

The landlords of the property next door, with whom I have a shared driveway, hired this company to sealcoat their portion of the driveway on 09/21/2022. The workers trespassed onto my property (despite "No Trespassing" signs being posted), sealcoated parts of my driveway (1' over on the majority of the driveway, and 4' over next to my garage), moved my recycling and garbage cans (which were positioned on my property), and blocked my recycling bin from being accessible by placing it in the grass between the 2 garages and sealcoating in front of it.After speaking with my local Code Enforcement Officer around 1pm CST, he went next door to obtain the company contact information from the tenants so I could call them while he was on site. I called and advised the company of the situation and that I hadn't given verbal or written permission to the workers, tenants, or landlords for the workers to be on my property or sealcoat part of it. Their representative, ******** (sp?), stated she would contact the owner regarding the issue; however, no one contacted me back. I later called again around 5pm CST after reviewing my Plat of Survey and confirming the measurements to provide them with more info, to which the representative stated she would speak with the owner and call me back; however, nobody ever apologized or contacted me back to resolve the issue.The landlords then came to the property around 6pm CST to harass my partner and I - including staring at me through the window in the back of my home, and greeting us with vulgar, derogatory names once we went outside to ask what they were doing - and we had to contact the police.I would now like the company to remove the sealcoating placed on my side, without causing further damage to my property, or for them to complete the job at their expense. I would also like an apology for the emotional distress and time lost that resulted from their mistakes.
