I was hopeful to connect with podcasters a few years ago when I was trying to build my mediation and coaching practice. I had signed up with a couple of directories - Perfect Podcast being one of them. Not only was Perfect Podcast successful in connecting me to podcast hosts, but it was also deceptive in its billing practices. Perfect Podcast shows up as "Another 8 Hours" on billing statements. Puzzled by the charge, I attempted to find the source. Another 8 Hours shows up as a business consultation service when Googled. This didn't make any sense to me because I had not hired a consultation service, and I would never have associated a podcast directory with this description. After failing to locate the source of the charge, I contacted my credit card company, who also could not find any description that made sense. Although I did have a forgotten and unproductive listing in the directory, Perfect Podcast had conveniently created a subscription that was very difficult to cancel because they were impossible to trace through billing. When I pointed out the deceptive and confusing description listed on the billing that had resulted in many months of undesired payment, they were unwilling to fix it for future customers and were unwilling to admit any responsibility. Based on my experience with Perfect Podcast/Another 8 Hours, they:1) Did not provide a podcast directory that actually resulted in a single connection 2) Evaded cancellation and then blamed it on me 3) Had poor customer service 4) Were all around a giant waste of money I would not recommend using this service.
