      On the 16th of February 2024 we went to Accurate Insurance Services on **********************************, **, to pay the down payment of $267.00 for our renewal policy . Not happy with the quote received, we went home found another Insurance company that day. We phoned the Oak ************ to inform them that we would like to cancel the policy. We were told to go the office on 102nd and Harlem to sign the papers for the cancellation of the policy. We returned to Accurate Insurance at the same location listed above and signed the paperwork to cancel the policy the next day. After waiting about two weeks for our refund we phone the ********* office and were told we had to wait 60days for our refund. After the 60 days we called the Oak ************ to inquire about the check we were told that we need two signatures in order for the cancellation to be valid. On April 9, 2024 we came to the ****** location and signed off with both our signatures. We again waited two weeks then phoned the Oak ************* where agent ****** informed us were not entitled to a refund and then we were transferred to a recorded line belonging to the supervisor ****** who never returned our calls. As of May 13, 2024 we phoned the Oak ************ and received the same runaround, still without our refund. Requesting your assistance.Sincerely **** and *******************

      A cancellation request was received to cancel policy only signed by one insured, Direct Insurance company said they needed both insureds on policy to sign the cancellation form. An employee of Accurate Insurance reached out to inform insured that we needed both signatures and to "please call Accurate Insurance back", Insureds did not call back so our underwriting department mailed insured letter informing them of the situation. Finally on April 17, 2024 Insureds sent another cancellation request with both signatures as requested, policy was then cancelled. On May 14, 2024 ****** spoke with ***** requesting a copy of her current policy and ID cards with their new company so he could get Accurate's insurance policy through Direct Insurance backdated to the date of first cancellation request, ***** told ****** "NO" she wouldn't send Accurate anything and gave the phone to **** at which time ****** again requested documentation of current insurance coverage at which time **** told ****** "No" and hung up on ******. Since ***** and **** didn't cooperate and provide requested documentation needed for Accurate Insurance to backdate the policy was canceled effective April 18, 2024 and any payments made were used toward insurance policy, currently there is an open balance of $99.01 past due, Insureds will not be receiving any refund.

      I am rejecting this response because: We reject their response.
      Because the information ****** submitted is not the truth.
      What took place is that on February 14, 2024 **** went to the location on ****************************************************************************,  to renew the insurance policy. At which time **** paid the down payment of $267.00. We were not happy with the coverage they were offering, thus on that daywe researched for another Insurance **. On February 15, 2024, we phoned the ******************************** office, spoke with a male agent to inform them that were signing up with another company and requested the cancellation of the policy at which time we were told to go to the Bridgeview location on ****** to sign the papers to cancel the policy. The next  day February 16, 2024,**** went to the ********** location to sign the paperwork to cancel the policy. Accurate Insurance ** on Harlem, speaking with the customer service agent, *****,also was  informed that we were insured by another company on February 15, 2024 at which time **** signed the paperwork, given him by *****, Two weeks later we phoned the Oak ************ to inquire about our refund, **************** stated we had to wait 60 days for the refund. After the 60 days we phoned the **************** to inquire again then we were told the request for cancellation needed both our signatures to be valid. No one had spoken to us before April 9, 2024. On April 9, 2024 we went back to the ********** location and provided the second signature. Again we waited two weeks and contacted the Oak ************,spoke to a male agent only to be told that we were not entitiled to the refund, **** asked to speak with Manager, the representative transferred **** to Mr. ******* phone which went directly to voicemail, **** left a message on his voicemail, we NEVER received a return call or anything in the mail..As of May 13, 2024 we phoned the Oak ************ again, we were transferred to Mr. ******** voicemail we left another message.. On May 14th we phoned again at which time we spoke with  ****************, we were on speaker phone when we talked with ****************. When *** ****** requested information as to what Insurance **mpany were we with, we told  him we were not going to give him any information about the ccompany we chose to sign up with. At that time Mr. ************ got  ANGRY that we were not going to tell him the company we were with. The Reason being: "We did not see what relavence that would have to do with our refund." As of today, June 20, 2024 we have not received our $267.00 refund which we are due. In retrospect the policy was cancelled on the February 16, 2024. There is no way possible that there is a balance due as **************** states. We feel that we have been swindled out of our money.  We want our refund.

      My previous response remains the same, you have admitted in your rejection response that you refused to give Accurate Insurance a copy of your new insurance, we needed this to send your new policy to insurance company to prove you had duplicate coverage in order for insurance company to back date policy and return any unearned premium. You signed our refund and cancellation agreement form explaining proper procedures to cancel your policy and then chose not to follow the agreement.

      I was going to get insurance from them after taking my money off my card I was sent an agency agreement form to sign after going over it I decided not to sign it and called them to tell them to return my money back to my card and she told me to write a statement saying that I cancel and return my money back and I did and I emailed it to them then she told me I will not get my money back until 40 to 60 days that's their policy but I told her that's not in this policy said you have the right to examine your policy for 10 days if you're not satisfied you may request that the policy be void from the effective date and return it to us for a full refund I did not sign the policy and I have a copy of it and I would like for them to pay me my money back

      Accurate Insurance is an insurance agency which represents multiple insurance companies, Accurate Insurance isn't an insurance company. When a customer begins a policy that policy becomes active and in force, when you give us your down payment that money belongs to the insurance company. You have the right to cancel your policy at any time you'd like however Accurate Insurance has to follow the ******** Department of Insurance rules and regulations that clearly states an agency cannot refund an insurance policy until monies collected are invoiced to that Agency, If Accurate Insurance were to give you a refund before receiving invoices credit from Insurance company that would be considered rebating. Therefore, it can take 45 - 60 days for Accurate Insurance to receive funds from Insurance company and refund insured.

      I do not see anywhere in the documentation that was attached where it states, "you have the right to examine your policy for 10 days".

      I do see your request for cancellation and Accurate Insurance did submit this request to the insurance company, any unearned premium will be refunded when Accurate Insurance is invoiced with the credit.

      I was referred to this company and had a horrible experience. I looked online and signed up and realized that all the information I needed was not specified so I called right away and the woman who helped was very helpful said Id get a full refund and sent me cancellation paperwork. I signed the paperwork for cancellation and waited on my refund that never came I called everyday for a month and was given the run around. After 3 months I was sent less than half the money I was due. I then proceeded to get answers and again was given the run around after finally getting an email for a ****** who is supposed to be the manager and this was after voicemails and countless numbers of unanswered calls. I emailed ****** and he called me back and he gave me fake paperwork saying I signed it and I did not. I then gave him proof that I was told I would get full refund and he said too bad for me he doesnt care he made $75 off of it

      This customer purchased her policy online, she provided her information, desired coverages and agreed to all detailed terms & conditions. She also signed additional documents that were sent to her email via Formstack. Please see enclosed copies of all documents including signatures. A refund was issued to the customer after earned premiums and service fees were deducted.
