I signed to receive chiropractor services through Chiro One. We agreed that I was to pay a certain amount, and I was put on a payment plan. Throughout my time getting services I was making payments. In August I made my final payment and my balance was $0. I couldn't finish the services due to my work schedule change. I reached out to the Chiro One and explained my schedule change and services was ended. On 9/30/1024 I get a bill from Chiro One stating that I owe $2246.00.Business response

Chiro One bought out my old chiropractor's practice. I had a credit on file which transferred to Chiro One. I went to Chiro One a few times and was not happy with the service so chose to leave. I asked for my funds that were credited to Chiro One to be refunded, I was told on August 19th to give them 15 days and the funds would be sent. On September 4th I called them and was told to give them a week, I called again on September 14th and was told that the check had gone out the day before on September 13th. It is now September 20th and I have not received my money which is approximately $520.00 I want the funds sent via next day air or I am going to file in small claims court.

I went to ******* and one sales guy from Chiro One stopped me and persuaded me to check out their service and charged $20 on my credit card. I was told it's totally fine to change my mind and get my money back. However, I called Chiro One to cancel and I was told I'd get my $20 back but I never got it back. Instead, I keep getting phone calls from them to ask me to change my appointments. I want my refund of $20.Customer response

Representative ****** of ChiroOne came to my place of employment on 7/8/24 to offer a $20 wellness exam offer in which I accepted and paid on that day. I explained to the representative that I was a new employee and my insurance would not be effective until 9/1/2024. The representative stated it would not be an issue. At my appointment on 7/18/2024 at 6 p.m. employee ***** asked me for my health insurance information assuming I would proceed with treatment before being seen. I reiterated that my benefits are not effective until 9/1/2024 and I previously explained that to representative ****** back on 7/8/2024. The employee ***** said if I am seen today (7/8/2024) the exam would be over 30 days by the time my benefits are effective. I would need another exam which would be another fee. I asked why this information wasn't provided to me back on 7/8/2024. She asked if I mentioned this information to their representative ****** and I stated yes I've worked in the health insurance industry for over 14 years and understand policies and procedures. I stated I wanted to make sure there was full disclosure to avoid any additional fees or conflict. I was told by employee ***** that if I wanted my refund I would need to call or email the company for a refund. She provided me a card with the contact information. I immediately emailed them on 7/18/2024 and a follow up on 8/2/2024 to ********************************************** with no response. I called ChiroOne at ************** on 8/2/2024 and was told that I would need to provide my credit card information in order for me to get a refund. She asked if I had a copy of the receipt and I replied yes but no credit card information is listed on the receipt. The customer service representative said they are unable to provide me a refund unless I provide my credit card information even though I have proof of a receipt. If this is the refund policy then the company should have a better procedure in place for customer refunds.Business response

Complaint: 22110354I am rejecting this response because: As I stated on Monday 7/8/2024 ChiroOne Representative ****** came to my place of employment to offer a promotional offer of $20.00 in which I specifically explained that I was a new hire and my health insurance benefits would not be effective until 9/1/2024. I asked if that would be an issue. She said there would be no issue and nothing further was explained to me other than the appointment date and time set up for Thursday 7/11/2024 at 6 p.m. I also went over a brief medical history and issues that I would like to address. I work in the health industry for over 14+ years so I understand the concept of needing health insurance and having new patient visits with treatment plans that are valid for 30 days. I received a text message on Wednesday, 7/10/2024 at 6:03 p.m. from ************** as an appointment reminder and for new patient paperwork. I replied on Wednesday 7/10/2024 at 6:40 p.m. asking "Can I reschedule?" I received a response asking "Text 1 to reschedule now. Text 2 to receive a call from our Scheduling Team." and "To schedule a new patient appointment, reply 1. The schedule an existing appointment, reply 2. To request a call from our Scheduling Team, reply 3." I replied on Wednesday 7/10/2024 at 6:41 p.m. "3". I received a response on Thursday 7/11/2024 at 7:02 a.m. asking which day is best, Monday-Thursday for a reschedule then I can select a best time. I received another text on Thursday 7/11/2024 at 5:02 p.m. telling it is almost time for my appointment today at 6 p.m. and to arrive ***** minutes early. I never received a call back from the scheduler like I requested and it didn't cancel my appointment like I asked. I received another text message on Friday 7/12/2024 at 2:01 p.m. asking me to reschedule my missed appointment by calling ************. I replied same day at 2:43 p.m. "Can we do July 18th at 6 pm?" I received a response at 2:43 p.m. asking me the same information about to schedule new patient reply 1, rescheduling an existing appointment to reply 2, to request a call from the Scheduling Team reply 3. I responded at 2:44 p.m. "1". I got a text back stating they can reschedule for me at 7-18 at 6 p.m. and I have been rescheduled. I replied at 3:00 p.m. "Thank you." I received a reminder text on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 6:03 p.m. to reply YES to confirm appointment for 7/18/2024 at 6 p.m. and to bring the completed paperwork. I replied at 6:04 p.m. "Yes" and received a response at 6:04 p.m. thanks for confirming. Another text message reminder Thursday, 7/18/2024 at 5:01 p.m. and a text on Friday, 7/19/2024 at 2:00 p.m. asking to reschedule appointment. I replied "STOP" at 5:10 p.m. since I had declined the services after going to the appointment on Thursday 7/18/2024 at 6 p.m. only to find out from the employee ***** in the office that I would need another exam by the time my health insurance would become valid. I told her I mentioned this to the first representative ****** when she came to my place of employment and specifically said 9/1/2024 is when my benefits would be effective. I declined and wanted my $20 back. She handed me a card to call the toll free number or email for a refund. I had a missed call from a Brookfield, ** phone and called it back the next day on Thursday 8/8/2024 at 5:27 p.m. at ************** and spoke to Regional Manager ***************************, I explained the issue and she said I would need to provide the last 4 numbers of the credit card I used for the payment at the time of accepting the special offer. I explained I am not sure what card I used. She said it was a mastercard but not in the office to go over that information. I also explained that I am on my way home from work and don't have any of that information on hand as well. She said she will call me back the following day or next week. I never got a call back from her to go over that information. I called her back on Thursday 8/22/2024 and left a voicemail advising I never received a call back from her per our prior phone conversation. I would like my credit card credited back and request a call back to do so. She did say she would provide the last 4 numbers of that mastercard so I can verify the card I used but no phone call has been placed to me as of today. I request my card to be credited and the interest since this company has been dragging it's feet on my refund and I have complied with the confirmation of the appointment.
Sincerely,

On August 4, 2022 I went to **** one, believing I had bad alignment and they would help with this. I paid ****** for 12 visits, it would been 850 if I did not pay upfront. It was only going in doing basic exercises and getting an adjustment with the chiropractor for couple of minutes. After I finish the program, they wanted me to sign up and pay more to continue the treatment. I told them I didn't see any change and they claimed it was because I needed more visits. I was emotionally distressed after this because I was not making good decisions and I wished they never came to my job to assess us. They were again there the following year and I voided them. I should of sent a complaint earlier, but I wanted to speak up to let people know this is just a big scam and after this happened I have notbeen the same emotional. I would love to get my money back, but as long as my complaint is heard and followed through I will feel justified. Thank you, *************************Business response

I was evaluated for a chiropractic plan. They told me I needed to come three times a week for care, to which I told them up front my schedule would not allow for that. They said that would not be an issue, but signed me up for a 24 treatment plan anyway. I was told my financial responsibility would be $180/month and that I could cancel my plan at any time as long as Ive paid each month for the services used. Ive only been able to make 4 appointments, which spanned 2 months. I called and said I wanted to cancel because of time and other health concerns that have come up to where I felt chiropractic care would be a conflict of medical care. I was directed to their customer care line where I was told that I now owe $2800. My insurance was billed, but they will not cover any of the treatment. Chiro One said that even if my insurance wouldnt cover, it wouldnt change my monthly payment of $180. I signed up to pay $180, so I expected to pay $360 and not be responsible for $2800 for services that were not rendered. I would not have signed up if this would be the case and feel as though this is medical fraud. I would only like to be responsible for the four visits and not pay $2800 for services that havent been rendered.Customer response

My insurance was billed for these treatments and the amunt I paid was my share was what I was told, now 9 months later they are billing me $1146.18 for many procedures I did not have. I am being overcharged for services. Chiro One has deceived me with false statements that my inurance and the amount I paid was going to cover everything, Now when I do not have money they are overcharging and and requesting full paymentCustomer response

Chiro One Dies Not Allow clients to come to Their chiropractor to seek medical help Without consenting to choose Their plan. (You cannot go and use Their chiropractor at Your discretion ). They want to Consime all of your insurance and out of pocket money w/costy evaluations and unnecessary extensive x-rays. Without any options, Their way or the highway , you cannot go there for maintenance chiropractic care which is mostly what chiropractors do! You cant go once a week or 2-3 or 4 times a month , oh no, they , the sales people at the desk are ONLY CONCERNED with lotsa money in their giant corporations pocket. They dont follow the law of ethics that Im sure All Dr.are supposed to abide by and agree to per their licensing. This business should be sanctioned and a review of improper Dr. ethics should be placed so that people like my wife and I who read about this business will stay well away from greedy corporations not interested in treating patients other than their costly and debt involved process.Initial Complaint

I signed up for a Chiro One Wellness Center promo at an Technology Convention. I initial thought that it was a great business model because not only did you receive chiropractic care, but they also provided you with exercise to help you improve. I visited the office 3 times between the dates of 3/19/2024 and 3/26/2024. During two of my visit the lead chiropractor explained how many visits my insurance would pay for and told me that the amount per visit would be $50. He then went on to explain different payment options that were available and how I could lower the amount I owe. When hearing that these payment plans required me to pay for visits in advance I declined and said I would pay as I go. Never during this time did he tell me that Chiro One's business model is that you pay in advance for your appointments. Again, during my 3rd visit we had an identical conversation to which I said again, I would pay as I go and paid $50 for that visit. On the day of my 4th appointment I came home to a letter in the mail that appeared to be from a credit company and the charges on the letter were for Chiro One in the amount of $1150. I called the Chiro One and they told me that it wasn't a bill. Then I called the credit card company and it was indeed a credit card. I never signed for this and would never agree to pay for a service up front before I knew if I liked it. I disputed the charges and they said I still owed $490 on 5/6/24, however, on 4/5/24 my insurance company paid for everything but $197. Subtracting the $50 I paid on my 3rd visit to the $197, I owe $147 but yet Chiro One still tried to get me to pay $490. So not only did they open a credit card without my authorization, they also are trying to scam me out of money my insurance company already paid. I did put in a second dispute, today, May 24, 2024 due to the credit card being opened without my authorization but only after contacting my insurance company did I find out that the amount was not accurate.
