I had windows installed in my home in 2007 including a bay window in the front living room area. The bay window now has fog inside and you can not see through the window. I contacted Energy Savers and they will fix the problem for over ******** dollars which they say is prorated over time. I believe the windows have a lifetime warranty. Energy Savers stated that isn't correct. I hope I can find some resolution to this issue.

      ****************,

sorry to hear that you are not 100% satisfied, But after 17 years, you will have to contact the manufacture for warranty, which we did for you the windows have a limited lifetime warranty, which is 30 years. The first 5 years are free replacement after 5 years. They start to prorate the window, please dont be mad at us because thats what the manufacture charges after 17 years. I think you file a complaint against the wrong company. Were just a retailer and willing to help in anyway.

      Complaint: 21645482

I am rejecting this response because: I really don't see any manufacturing defects which have resulted in peeling, flaking, chipping, splitting or damage to the window. I am no window expert. However, by doing my limited research. It appears the main cause of a foggy window is when the seals around the window fail. Excess moisture get's trapped between the panes of the glass and this is usually the result of incorrect installation. Since the retailer is responsible for having the window installed. It appears they are responsible.

      Sincerely,

      Complaint: 21645482

I am rejecting this response because: I contacted the manufacturer Lang Exterior and spoke with a representative by the name of ******* who stated she was informed that the window appears to be not defective and they were not responsible for the installation. I was informed by **** to contact the installer or contractor in this case. I am receiving the run around in this matter.

      Sincerely,

In August 2021, I contracted Energy Savers to replaced 3 sets of windows in the bedroom on the second floor and a patio door on the first floor and they were installed about a month later. It is very cold in all rooms on the second floor. As cold as ************************************************************************* December I was calling the company with no return call and then texted the salesman. The salesman came out and experienced the cold on the second floor said some caulk was missing and a repairman would be scheduled to come out. He said if that didn't resolve things the window company would send out a representative. The serviceman came out told us that he thought the gas was no longer between the pane. He also caulked and re-adjusted the patio door. He said the office would call us. We waited a few days an no call from the office and the salesman called us back after asking for a status update. He told us, the owner of the company said we had to call the window manufacture, *************. This is not who I have the lifetime guarantee contract with. We spoke with ****, the **** manager and she said she would call Energy Savers and call us about. Today, about 5 days later we called her because she did not call us back and she said there was nothing they could do and did not know who could help us. We can't live with the bedroom temperatures at 55 degrees. My gas **** has increased by about $40. Over the weekend when I opened my blinds, I saw a s**** on the floor. It is a stripped s**** from the patio door lock. I would either like all window and patio door replaced because they are truly not energy savers and defective or all money returned..

Sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with our products, we strive on having a great product plus great workmanship.

Patio door concerns, if you Blinds on your patio door and you see them moving thats warm air meeting with cold air in between your blinds in your glass creating air movement any moist Ear between the blinds in your glass will build up and the glass if the temperatures drop really low that moisture on the glass will freeze, there should be a Heat duct on the bottom of the patio door I would make sure that that is open but keep in mind if it is open in the air blows out it will move your blinds also.

Second floor room temperature concerns, We have sent out our installer to take a second look in the report he gave back to us was the windows are operating correctly and the installation is good which leads me to believe you may have a different issue since you are experimenting the same problem in all your second floor rooms, I would highly suggest maybe checking the blown in insulation up in your attic, If temperatures drop it will keep your second floor cooler because you are losing all of your heat, I would also make sure that all of your duct work is wide open, Check furnace for clean filters.

      thank you ****
