I met with ******* ******* at Calhoun Carpet on 7/25/22 to choose flooring. ******* suggested the ******** brand stating it is great product & would not require an underlay. ******* referred & gave me contact info for installer, ** *******. ** gave me quote for installation, and I hired him for the job. The floor was installed on 8/25 and 8/26/22. Soon after installation, I contacted ******* regarding several issues in the floor. I reported several tears in the tiles, lumps in the floor under joists & places where you could see staples under the floor. ******* sent out one of his “specialists, ****, to check the multiple issues. **** can be heard and seen on my Ring camera calling ******* and stating, “Holy ***** ****….It is awful”. After the call, ******* told me that I will need to contact ** *******, since he did install. ** said there would be a charge to fix it. I told them, I should not be charged, as this should have been done right the first time. ** told ******* he had discussed the installation issues prior to installing. This did not happen! If he had brought any issue to my attention, I would have it resolved right then and there, and ** would have presented me with a new quote, which did not happen. The quote from ** ******* was for floor installation- to cover the job. There was never any discussion as ** told Kopecky- regarding floor prep. I never ever refused to pay for “Floor Prep” as this was never discussed nor brought to my attention at any time. I would like a refund from Ed ******* as he would have noticed these issues as he was installing the floor and should have stopped and brought this to my attention. I have a former complaint against Calhoun with BBB- which they rendered invalid ( ********). However, Calhoun also told me I didn't need an underlay, which has caused many of the issues. The floor is glued down, and cannot be reused. I will need to buy all new floor and find a professional Installer.Business response

I was hired through the store to lay the flooring. The customer is the customer of the store. We went back to her house two times to fix odd and end things. The last time I was at the customer's home she wanted me to put a under Layment. I did not sale the customer any product. I asked the customer while laying the flooring that she had a deepy floor if she wanted me to continue laying the floor or stop. The customer wanted me to continue the job.
