I purchased an iPhone 12 mini on December 2, 2023 for $319. I purchased the good condition which was in their policy defined by micro scratches being visible from 20 inches away. I received the phone on the 8th of December and immediately noticed the back glass of the red iPhone was shattered in the corner and the red glass was displaced. I immediately messaged support within 20 minutes of receiving the delivery. **** tracking number ********************** And defined the issue. I was offered a replacement of the item good condition or a refund. Worrying about it not making it to them in time and back to me with holiday shopping delays, and also wondering if good condition would result in a similar phone and just tie my finances up waiting for a refund near Christmas etc. I chose to wait. They sent me the policy on good condition phones to let me know what I could expect and insisted the damage must have occurred during transit even though the phone was rolled up very tightly and securely in bubble wrap. I firmly believe that is just the condition they sold the phone in. Fast forward to Christmas Day and my son opens the phone and instantly notices the crack and is unhappy so I let him know we could replace it (having a 30 day warranty return policy- including simply changing your mind) and then once the phones battery died it never charged again. So its physically damaged outside of what the business states I could expect and the battery is dysfunctional. Weve troubleshoot the phone with Apple and tried 5 different chargers. Worst off all we already transferred all of his photos and data to the phone. Backmarket (lqtronics LLC) is claiming it was damaged in transit and is saying its up to the seller to initiate an investigation but that it may be too late for that and its up to the seller what they want to do. I have 9 days left and I need help! Please dont let my sons Christmas get ruined and bad businesses continue doing bad business!

On 10/26/23 I initiated an exchanged for a refurbished phone I purchased from HqTronic via BackMarket for $423.55. The phone was described as "excellent" quality (i.e. almost good as new), but what arrived was scratched, dirty, and had broken speakers. On 11/4/23 I received the replacement phone which was once again not "excellent" quality as promised. This time it had many dents, was dirty, and had poor battery life. I requested a refund this time because I did not trust that HqTronics would deliver the excellent quality phone I wanted and was promised. I sent the phone back and on 11/14/23 received a refund of $373.55 and was told the refund was partial due to "return label fees." I contacted BackMarket customer service to express my dissatisfaction with the refund as it was $50 short of the price I paid and there was no way return labels cost $50. I was then refunded an additional $30 and have requested the additional $20 multiple times and have not gotten it.I did some research and posted on a forum about this issue and found this seller has lots of negative reviews and multiple people have reported nearly identical issues with this company (i.e. giving partial refunds for broken phones missing $40-$100 claiming "return label fees"). I believe this may be a scam being run by this company. I am requesting to be refunded the remaining $20 I am owed and an investigation into this company's business practices.
