My Home Warranty - Choice Home Warranty - sent Aero Refrigeration for my range hood repair on Oct 25th 2022. The person who came was ***************************. His diagnosis was that my range hood motor and relay needed to be replaced. He took the $65 calling fee, and told me would put the order for the parts and come back with the part in 3 weeks. When I did not receive a call in 3 weeks, I called him he said the part was "arriving from ******" and that he had no ETA. When I called him again after a couple of weeks, he just stopped picking up the call. I then called my Home Warranty, who told me the technician has told them the part is arriving next week. After I still didn't receive any response the following week, I called my Home Warranty again and they now started saying they were unable to reach him either. I called them 3-4 additional times, to no avail. I finally asked for a change in technicians to get the repairs done.Is it legal for someone to do this? Taking the calling fee but then going completely off the radar. My claim took ~3 months to close out, and i had a tough time cooking without the range hood. I would like the technician to compensate me for the mental stress they caused me, the time lost in numerous follow-**** and the inability to use my appliance due to their negligence
