He(*********************) came to repair foundation wall crack and to install vanity top with faucet (I purchased from Homedepot) on Jan 9, **** He didn't do the work properly and the wall is still leaking and he broke one of my facet handles by overturning it. I asked him for a refund because he failed both jobs. He refused. He offered to redo the work but I wasn't comfortable so I called a different professional source for a second opinion. They said the work was not done properly. They have to clean up everything before they do anything. They didn't think the work was done by a professional. According to his(*******) text, he used low pressure pump. It looked like DIY type of tool. It was a rainy day when he did this job. Water kept coming in through the crack. He took advantage of my situation which is stressful as it is. He came to do this task that he was not experienced to do and just took my money. He didn't even show up to the first appointment without a phone call or a message. I was also very uncomfortable because of his manner and high temper. This situation has been extremely stressful and I have wasted so much time because of him. I have all the evidence including text messages and pictures to prove what I have stated above Please give me some advice or help me to resolve this issue.

Yes, any fixing job can go not as planned sometimes, but I figured out what was the problem and offered to redo it, extending the warranty to lifetime. The kit I used that the client called "DIY" just because it has "DIY" in the name of the kit (and is normally used for smaller projects like this), costed me $227 (receipt attached). It still was the high pressure one, but not the right kind. Again, I offered to get the correct kit myself and redo the job.
He says that I failed the other job too, which was replacing vanity, countertop and faucet. That is not true. When I installed all of it, everything looked and worked well. I've done this kind of work numerous times in my life (not only residential, but commercial too) and it never went wrong. This client however said that the faucet started leaking, to what again, I offered to fix, because it could have been a faulty part, and that part could be easily replaced. That is not a whole failed job.
The client talks about my high temper but he does not mention how he was standing over me all the time, watching my every single move. He was so close, to the point that I sometimes could not move around to get the tool I needed or change positions, and I had to ask him to step back - any worker would understand how frustrating and anxiety causing it could be while you are trying to get something done.
The client also doesn't mention that I did extra job for him free of charge. That job was removing old, moldy, smelly linoleum flooring in almost the entire room in the basement, removing all damaged baseboards, cutting out moldy parts of drywall and taking care of discarding this waste. I did all of it for free, and this job alone costs at least $300.
My business has wonderful reviews on *****'s list, and that's where he found me. My prices are very reasonable too. I am always willing to go above and beyond for my customers and would happily take care of any issues that *** arise, but this client has unreasonable expectations of how repair projects have to go and thinks of his interests only. If he was so uncomfortable with me redoing the job and wanted someone else do it - fine, that is his wish and right. But he can't expect someone to spend so much time (and money on materials) on the job, doing extra work, and just leave them completely uncompensated.

I am rejecting this response because:
I'm also a labor worker.  I know that repairs may always not be succesful.  However, I don't think he is a experienced worker for this type of job although, he says he is.  I knew somethng went wrong when I saw his work at the site.  He messed up the wall.  Epoxy glue was flowing all over the wall (See attached picture).   He was struggling.  I was in the basement with him to vacuum water (Shop- vac) on the cement ground.  He also kept asking me to clean up water because he wanted less water in the room.  I felt like I was a his assitant.   He said that he was here to fix the crack, not for cleaning water.  so I kept removing water while he was working on the crack.  Water kept coming in even after he finished the job.  I realized that something was wrong.   I told him that I need to check with another contractor to figure out what current condition is.  In the phone text, he offered to extend warranty after failing the job but he never talked about life time warranty.  Invoice shows only 2 years of warranty (See attached picture).  It's hilarious that he keeps talking about warranty.  His job was never successful from the beginning.  We don't have to talk about warranty in this case.   Another contractor from waterproofing company came and finished the job.  I attached a picture to compare and their opinion about his work as well.   I also had to pay for his mess.  After the crack work, he started to install faucet (I bought from *********** in the bathroom.  Suddenly, he was complaining that he was not comfortable because I was watching him.  I think he was stressed because the wall crack repair didn't go well.  I thought that I was helping him.  I moved away to the other room but he called me soon after and asked me to help.  I was holding faucet while he was tightening the bottom screws.  He was ******* to finish quickly.  I felt his frustration.  I heard a breaking sound when he overturned one of the faucets handle by forcing it too much.  I'm sure he knows what he did.  He is lying.  I found couple leaks from the joint of P-trap and pvc pipe near the wall.  I know p-trap leaks sometimes but I found the pipe joint near the wall was not sealed or tightened all the way.  He emphasize several times that he has good reviews.   I know.  That's how I found this company.  My mistake was that I didn't check one- star review from one of his clients.  I normally don't look at one star reviews because some people leave one-star review for a bad intention.  I was laughing when I read this review (See attached the review).  It was exactly how I felt about him.  I don't think the good reviews are all about him.  According to him, he works with two other guys (There's another **** as well).  I think that good workers don't talk about their good reviews.  In the comment, he said that he did extra work to move linoleum flooring almost in the entire room?  for free of charge?   Unbelievable!   That was his first visit to open the wall to find foundation crack.  He offered $100 to open the wall and raised to $200 after. I asked him to open the wall a little bit in the beginning but he was forcing me to open all the way and raised the cost.  He said that he can fix the wall crack very well.   I think this is the way he makes money.  He offers to charge small amount in the beginning and raises the cost by adding other problems.  Yes, he helped me a bit, maybe for a few minutes to move couple bags containing floor pieces outside.  Not entire room.  just small area where water went in.   He did a little bit, but I removed most of it while he was working on the wall crack.  My flooring is still here on the ground(See attached pictures).  I removed more floors after he left.   He is a big liar.   I'm attaching  all pictures to prove it.   You will see who is lying.  He didn't even show up in the first appointment without a phone call or a message.  He didn't even apologize.  I attached the text messages from **** website for proof.  I gave him a second chance and this nightmare started.  I don't know the other two guys in this company but he is definitely not reliable, trustworthy person to do business with. It is stressful enough to deal with flooding issues in the basement, but this guy made my situation so much worse.  It's been a nightmare.  I hope people read my review and don't experience what I went through.
      Sincerely,

      Jong Park
