**** Gibson installed a new furnace and air conditioning unit for us. From the start, we had issues with the furnace not cycling. He came back several times and tried several things that were supposed to fix it but nothing ever did. He said the duct covers were too small and put on different ones. He added a blower and a different drain. Nothing worked. We would call and he got where he wouldn't answer or return our calls so we eventually were forced to call a different contractor. He inspected both units. He told us the furnace was installed in a space too small ( he had put it in a closet) and it couldn't get enough air. He moved it to our attic and changed all conne***ons. It works fine now. We had asked **** before installation, if it would work in the closet. We were switching from hot water heat to forced air. He said it would be fine, but obviously didn't know what he was doing. The air conditioner was also too small for our square footage. The new contractor took that unit in on trade and installed a bigger one. * * * ******* charged us $ 4200.00 **** also installed new flooring in several rooms. When he installed the flooring in the room where our internet router was, he pushed it back against the wall and laid the floor up to it. Previously, a hole had been drilled through the old flooring. After a bit, our internet quit working. We had the provider come out and that line was broken from being squeezed against flooring. *** ran a new line correctly. Their charge was $ 90. When I couldn't get **** by phone, I began sending him certified letters. The first 2 letters I sent were not delivered or returned. The post office refunded those charges. I finally sent a letter through certified priority mail, which **** signed for. This cost was $13.70. We want **** to refund the excess charges we incurred due to his negligence. This amount would be $ 4303.70. We are also very concerned that other customers will also have such issues.Customer response

I would like for Gibson Hvac & Remodeling to adjust the amount due to him to $ 5800 for furnace and air installation ( thus refunding. $ 4,200.00 that it cost to have the furnace and air units he installed made usable). He was given multiple opportunities to make this right, with no success and left this as he was still going to do something with them and then quit taking our calls or responding to us.
