We had a contract for a privacy fence. We were charged $412 over our quote. When I finally got the receipts from **** is when I noticed. He agreed to refund me. That was in November. It has been one excuse after another. He has now ignored my texts and calls and we still havent received a refund.Customer response

We had a contract for a privacy fence with said contractor. Job was started on 10/4 and finished on 10/13. Upon completion I had asked for receipts and he stated he forgot them that he would bring them the next day. He never showed up. After texts and calls I finally received receipts in mail so I could get rebates but the date had passed to send those in. We lost almost $400 with that. Once receipts received I totaled them up and he had taken back 200 6ft pickets and purchased 200 more 8 ft pickets charging us $700 more. When I asked where the money went for returned materials he said he had to buy nails and hardware which those materials were in the contract. I sent him a picture of signed contract and told me I was right that he would refund the over amount charged $412. This was agreed upon 11/8/2021. As of today with severa texts messages asking where my money is I still have no refund. I haves reached out several times with excuse after excuse as to why I havent received my money. Now as of 2/24 he is ignoring my texts and calls.Business response

Case number 16817531I just received a letter in the mail on our business JJJ construction there has been a complaint filed by ***************************** I personally have never spoken with ***************************** and I am the owner of the company and I personally have Nots communicated with her at all so I am really not for sure whats going on with this case if my company was to owe her any money I would be more than happy to refund that but I would need her to get in contact with me personally about the information and not her just contacting one of my workers my phone number is ************ and my name is ************************* and I would be more than willing to communicate with her myself personally if shes willing to please let me know when you talk with her how she would like to proceed with this .Customer response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

********************* done my estimate and built my fence. I have a business card with his name on It as well as his wife. I have text messages from **** stating he would get a check in the mail. My next step will be small claims court.
