Purchased a Lemon ******************* on April 20th of this year. Invoice Number WC-****. This type of fish shows a bright yellow color. The fish they sent me did not have yellow color at all. These types of fish can get stressed and lose color. After 2 months this fish is healthy, not stressed and still not showing color. It is an ***********************. I feel like this was not a mistake, I emailed them through the website a couple of weeks ago. They refuse to respond.Business response

We have tried contacting ************** several times, but his voicemail is not setup. The lemon Oscars color as is all fishes color determinant on several things one being diet. To maintain a bright yellow color colo,r foods must be fed. We sent him a ********************* (albinos have red eyes his fish has dark eyes) He can contact us at ************ and we will try and resolve this issue for him.

My voice mailbox is full yes, but I don't have a "bunch of missed calls from *******" either. I am usually really busy during the day time with my job and I don't have time to discuss this. I emailed the company over a month ago and never got a response, so here we are with the BBB. I am obviously stuck with this fish, I am not sending it back and live too far away for a reasonable solution. If they sent me a replacement that does not work either as the size discrepancy between a new one and my other ***** is now not an option to be kept together. A replacement is something that would have worked when I first contacted them. Instead I got inaction.The ***** from the link I purchased on their website shown bright yellow *****s, and bragged about the great color they are already showing. After months mine is still simply a couple different shades of white (tiger pattern). I feed my *****s primarily Chicilid Gold Floating Pellets, but I also mix in freeze dried plankton, blood worms, beef heart, vibra bites to keep it mixed up so they do not get bored with food. Water conditions are good with regular water changes and the ***** shows no sign of stress. He is very active and eats extremely well.
This website they run is essentially a scam with false advertising of their product.

We did call several times in response to your initial email sorry your voicemail is full. We did not hear from you until several months after you received the fish and were willing to see what we could do for you. Glad to hear the fish is doing great despite it's lack of yellow color. We sell a pellet food that will help bring the yellow color out that we will send you free of charge if you would like. BTW, most of the foods you listed contain high amounts of betta carotene which actually inhibit yellow chromatophore production.

I have viewed the image of the oscar ************** attached. That is clearly not an albino, it's eyes are not red. It is a lemon that has been fed red color foods.Customer response

In my previous response I stated that I would accept the offering of the different fish food to try and bring out the yellow color in this oscar. I don't understand this latest response.

Ordered 4 Lionhead gold fish on 2/6/22 order number **** total of ****** already deducted from my money but still no fish I have called rainforest farms at least 6 times and spoke to ************************* ************ The first excuse was the week I placed the order there was a storm a week later the excuse then was he did not have the type of fish after all the third week he took several days to call me back and still no fish today almost 4 weeks later I asked for a substitution to oranda goldfish as he claimed to not be able to get Lionhead he told me he has Oranda goldfish but when I asked for him to send them he still tells me to call him tomorrow (for what am I calling him tomorrow for!)Every time I have spoken to him it is call me tomorrow Almost 4 weeks later still no fish or refund I have told him I expect four oranda fish shipped to me this week by Friday 3/4 or I expect a full refund 3/4 He does not seem to care He repeatedly tells you to call back tomorrow for NO reason I am of belief this is fraudulent scam I have since read some of the reviews and they sound similar to my experience How can he have a business How can he take peoples money and not produce a productBusiness response

We contacted ****************** several days before her order was due to ship and informed her that we were out of stock on the Lionhead goldfish. We gave her the option of substituting to another variety of goldfish, getting a refund or waiting for the Lionheads to come in. She decided to wait for them to come in, unfortunately the supplier from ****** ***** was unable to ship any fish. So after not being able to get them in for several weeks ****************** decided to substitute for Oranda goldfish. I told her I would contact her the next day and make sure that we had the smaller Oranda goldfish available and that they had not been fed so that they could be shipped. This got Ms.. ****** extremely upset and she said you dont need to call me back, just ship the fish today or give me a refund. Unfortunately the fish had already been fed which can cause serious ill effects to ship them with food in their stomachs and so we immediately issued a full refund for the transaction. I sent an email confirmation of the refund and an explanation to ****************** that night. Unfortunately with the pandemic and air travel it has been extremely difficult to get in a few varieties of fish, we strive to fulfill orders and make sure that we get the fish safe and sound to their new homes.
