I placed an order for $244 for 4 pairs of shoes. When I checked my bank account, there were pending charges for $244 and $189. When I contacted customer service, they said the second charge would be removed in 3-5 business days. In the meantime, I cannot access the $189 which caused my bank account to be overdrawn. The company apologized and restated the 3-5 business days statement.Review from Destiny B

I bought a pair of shoes online, paid cash for them and they delivered them outside of an apartment building. They left the package outside, the package was stolen. I am blind, I could not tell the package was outside. They never rang the doorbell. How am I supposed to know a package is outside without them ringing the doorbell. I ordered a pair of shoes for the 12 days of deals. I did the free ship to home cause apparently my store never have anything in stock or have any shoes in my size there. Well it came 2 days after I placed it and I was thinking it would come thru the week day so I can have someone at my house to be sure to get it for me. Well it came on a Saturday’s while I was at work. I work 12 hrs and when I got home it was dark already. I didn’t see no shoes on my front porch which faces the front of the road. I looked at the tracking and said it was delivered and the lady I spoke to said they not responsible for any missing items. Well if I knew it would’ve came that fast I could’ve called and ask fed ex to hold them until Tuesday. But the shipping time frame was 4-7 business days. That wasn’t no business day to deliver anyways. Now I’m out of money for some shoes I can’t wear or anything. I guess I’ll have to contact my bank and file a report. I always buy from shoe carnival and I usually pick up in store if I can or I go to store and buy them. This is so pitifulReview from Crystal D

Customer service was not helpful at all, order shoes on 11/2 was shipped out the same day supposedly got a tracking number for FedEx, it’s now the 8th and FedEx is still saying they have not received the shipment that once they do they will update their system. CSR state Dagestan had no idea what happened, that they can issue a refund but is unable to reship item. I asked to speak with a supervisor and she stated there are no supervisors available that are on at the moment.Review from Nikki W

I wish I could give zero. I bought 2 pair of boots, BOGOF. I paid in full for the order. Only one of pairs were in stock at my local store, so I picked those up and set for the others to ship. I went into the store, showed my order confirmation and left with my boots. This morning, I was woken up with a notification the they have put a hold on my bank account for another $45 and once the 2nd pair ship they will make a final charge for another $45 and then release the hold for the $90 that I thought took care of the entire order. Shoe Carnival and my bank both claim neither can help release these additional funds that I absolutely do NOT owe for, let alone, authorized them to make.Shoe Carnival, Inc. Response

We apologize for the confusion on your order. We have located the order based on your contact information. When an order is placed your bank places a hold for the entire amount of the order and then releases the funds to us during the settlement process. We do not submit the settlement until your order ships or is picked up. Since the order was split the settlement is submitted separately for the in store pick-up and the shipped item. Some banks show their authorization hold in addition to the settlements during a split shipment process until the authorization hold expires and/or the separate settlements are reconciled with the authorization hold. . I online ordered shoes for an upcoming trip more than 2 weeks before the trip. A label was created 9 days ago but no other tracking updates. They put me through several phone calls and more than an hour of conversation just to tell me to call a nearby store and pay for expedited shipping bc they werent able to process the order but dont know why. one person named rhonda even hung up on me and never called me back when she wasnt able to put the order through. So i had to call back to see if i had a new order or not. you shouldnt order anything from them if you want to receive an item. They will just waste your time and put you through crappy customer service, further wasting your time. Not sure, why im responsible to call the store and pay for expedited shipping when they are the ones that put me in a delayed situation. i couldve ordered the shoes at another trustworthy site the first time which also had them in stock. It wouldve saved me all this trouble and i would have it by now for my trip. Dont bother giving them your business if they cant even simply place an order or deliver a product.Review from Saria M

I went to shop at the Douglassville Georgia location July 20,2023 and the system was down. Meaning I couldn’t even purchase my kids back to school shoes at that time. Even the online systems we down so I couldn’t even order online at the time. 3 days later I order those shoes online and get them shipped to my house. Two of the shoes have the wrong sizes in the shoe boxes. Returning them was a hassle having to drop them off at a closet fed ex store which I don’t have one close to me. Me and my kids found and ordered the same shoes off Nike.com and I called shoe carnival and started the return process for all the shoes. (It takes up to ten days for a return but best believe I will never give them a hard earned penny of mine. Just poor serviceReview from Stephen H

I ordered 2 pair of boots online. Got an email saying they were delivered today but when I got home from work they were not at my front door or my back door. The FedEx site shows a blurry picture the driver snapped of the box by a wall, picture doesn't show the door number. I called the Shoe Carnival Customer Service phone number and after being put on hold twice was informed that they can't/won't do anything about it, that I have to file a complaint with FedEx. I told the representative that FedEx is responsible to Shoe Carnival in this situation, not to me, that I had already done my part by paying Shoe Carnival for the boots and for shipping. He said well, sorry that's all I can tell you. So, I hung up and called the FedEx Customer Service number and since my tracking number shows my package as Delivered the automated system said it couldn't transfer me to a live representative and then it hung up on me. I will NEVER shop with Shoe Carnival again, either online or in-store, and I will make sure to suggest my friends and family don't shop there either. Guess that's about all I can do against a big, uncaring corporation. Thanks for nothing.Review from Stephanie N

I went to get my son shoes at the one on alpine did not have his size but found a pair that will make do. I was never asked if I wanted to donate for Red Cross, but found out the girl charged me for the donation watch your receipts if u go to that store!Shoe Carnival, Inc. Response

It is the company policy to collect for charitable events for some time now. The cashier must have thought they wanted to round up for the charitable donation. The customer has contacted us informing us that they didn't want to make this donation. We have reached out to the customer and waiting for the customer to contact us back to rectify this issueCustomer Response

I was never asked if I wanted to donate. The girl that helped me never asked never said the words "would u like to donate" when I went to the counter to check out she asked If I found everything ok and that's it.Shoe Carnival, Inc. Response
