I hired Seamless Restoration to fix a small roof leak for me, and they were paid $1350. I was told it would come with a warranty and that they would keep coming out until the leak was fixed. It has now been over a year and the leak still hasn't been repaired. Due to this, I have now had to repair the ceiling, the wall, and the flooring three different times. That alone has cost me nearly $3000 in repairing the damages. Also, they are now refusing to honor their warranty. Not only are they refusing to honor their warranty, but they're also attempting to charge me an additional $1800 to fix the SAME roof leak that they've already been paid to fix. This is a very small roof. If they're unable to fix the roof, they need to refund my money that they were paid, as well as for the damages. They've also refused to provide me with their insurance information.

From the previous contractor the roof was installed incorrectly. We did repair the initial leak and as time went on during the year more leaks started occurring. We have made more than 10 trips to this property analyzing, inspecting, and at no additional charge further repairing this roof. The most recent issue that has occurred now the neighbor installed gutters and the watershed is dumping on this property flat roof therefore flooding the interior causing the damages mentioned in the complaint. The additional charges for work completed has not been paid nor has it been billed to him as of today. The additional work completed was tear out incorrect flashing that doesnt leak unless an excessive amount of water is present (neighbors commercial roof). The neighbor is responsible for current damages. It is a commercial flat roof that becomes a swimming pool now. A roof can shed water but it isnt designed to hold water.  We have always honored our work and warranty. The repairs performed by Seamless Restoration have been tested and are not leaking.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]

NONE of the response from Seamless Restoration is accurate.  Their first trip out to the property, they stated the roof was in good condition and that this shoudl be an easy fix.  Now, they're suddenly changing their story about how bad the roof is, even though it's nearly new.  They keep attempting to claim there are several different leaks in several areas, which is not true at all.  The leak has been in exactly the same spot the entire time and has never once changed.  It doesn't matter if there are several leaks or not, they were paid to fix the leaking roof and they've failed to do so.  They did not do what they were paid to do.  They can either refund my money and pay for the damages, or I will file a complaint with the ******* Attorney General for fraud, and *** them for everything in small claims court.  They keep making excuses for not being able to fix the roof leak, but the new roofer has now fixed the problem in under 30 minutes, something that Seamless Restoration couldn't do after "10 trips".  Also, Seamless told me every single time that they would do a "water leak test", but they failed to do that very simple task even once.  They didn't the minimum amount of actual work that they could actually do.  Throwing up a little bit of caulk is NOT a $1350 job.  They are refusing to honor their warranty and refusing to do the repair that they were paid to do.  Bottom line, that is fraud.  Their inability to fix a very small roof leak has wasted hours and hours of my personal time, and cost me thousands of dollars.  I will not stop until this matter is fully resolved.

This is the initial message to the company from *******

      April 7,2021

The other flat roof leak is at **** e 10th st.  Very small leak in the back sw corner...near the drain.  The roof is only about 5 years old but no one can seem to find the leak.  The roof wasnt put on that great to begin with.

The tenants said she doesn't think there's been anymore water

Our warranty doesnt include continuous service for new leaks on any roof we didnt install. We repaired the existing leaks and made multiple trips out there repairing more leaks as time went on at no charge. The neighboring property installed gutters and funneled the watershed to Gregorys roof causing damages.  He was made aware the drain needed to be opened up more because of this.  We completed the following work at no additional charge - Extended and installed 2'3' rubber over drain area where water pools up for added protection. Cover tape over flashing where it meets the wall above air conditioning unit. Sealed cracks in wall.  Extended drain out past air conditioning unit so water would not run down west facing wall above air conditioner

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this response/resolution is satisfactory to me.

Again, Seamless Restoration has made NO fix for the leak they were paid to fix.  They guaranteed their work, but yet fail to actually honor that guarantee.  They are incompetent at roof repair, and another roofer fixed the issue in under 30 minutes.  If they never fixed the problem they were paid for, and if they refuse to honor their warranty, then that is fraud.  It is just that simple.  The ******* Attorney General has been notified.  I will be filing a claim in ****** County Small Claims Court as well.

      Regards,
