*********************** has been an ************ to work with from the beginning. She was very personable and very detailed oriented throughout the whole process which we most certainly appreciate as first time home owners. We also went through Silverthorne Mortgage, and that process with **** was seamless; the process was quick and painless. They were also very thorough in explaining the coming steps and what to expect next. Lastly, the design center in Fort ******** was a gratifying experience. We went on a few Saturdays to browse, digest, and get a good idea of what we wanted. This made our final selections appointment very easy, and we had great confidence in what we were getting.Overall, the homebuilding process is stressful but it was a great experience, especially with *****. She was always available when we needed her and always made time for us on short notice. I can't thank her and Silverthorne enough for our new homeReview from Lauren G

We recently made our deposit and are moving toward a new home in *********, *******. Working with ***** has been extremely lovely and made our decision to choose Silverthorne homes easy. The women who assisted ** during open hours at the design center were also incredible. We are excited to begin the process of seeing our new home come to life and would recommend Silverthorne homes based on our experience so far. **Will review again as our home nears completion!Review from Brittany L

We just signed our contract to build in Somerset West. Weve been working with *********************** and shes been nothing but absolutely amazing. She has been so kind & helpful with every question we have had through the process thus far. Shes also incredibly prompt with her replies, which is so important when trying to figure out the right move to make when so much money is involved. We are very grateful to have her helping us through this process & cant speak highly enough about her! Thanks again, *****!Review from Macy R

Our home was completed in 2021. We had a great sales **** ****** But once the build process began it was down hill. It started with ***** who was fired. Then **** who was great. Then ********************************** He was the worst person we worked with. He blamed his assistant who was out with ****** He took no responsibility for any errors. We pointed out issues along the way. It took 3 tries to finally get the kitchen backsplash laid correctly. the doors in the house were dinged up. A piece of flooring in the entryway wasnt cut long enough to be covered by quarter round. The baseboards around the stairs were a mess. We emailed lists with photos of work not to satisfaction. Those emails fell on deaf ears. We did our walk thru and taped defects, went back the next day & the tape was removed & none of the issues were fixed. ******* then blamed his assistant again. So we talked to the sales rep to see what options we have. We were told we could not sign off on silverthorne paper work and prevent him from getting a bonus. To this date (8/8/23) we still havent signed off on the spring list. Several cabinets in the kitchen were dinged up, but not replaced until a month after closing. On closing day, the side splash in the master bath still wasnt complete. (Still not replaced to this date) Then before going to closing, Silverthorne failed a final inspection with *********** pushing back our close. went to use the microwave, it had someones left over Mexican food stuck in the bottom. 1.5 years after closing the grout in our master bath is cracking and continues to crack even after repairs. The flooring was through kermans. Still cracks and chips to this date. 1.5 years living in our new home, our stove stopped working. an electrician told us the outlet wasnt built to code. Fast forward to now, we found out the bathroom rough-in in the basement was installed too close to the wall to fit a toilet. 2 things that shouldnt have passed an inspection.Silverthorne Homes, LLC Response

Silverthorne wants you to be happy with your home. We regret the bad experiences you have had. Our records show 9 completed service orders and the most recent warranty request received on 10/26/2021. Silverthorne reimbursed for the rough in issue in the basement. Feel free to submit a new request if you want us to look at anything you feel may be covered under warranty.Review from Rod C

We closed on our home in August of 2020. Our home was built on our property and the construction process went well. The problems started after we moved in. The vinyl floor started separating at the joints and we called Silverthorne to fix it. They notified Kerman Floor Covering and they tried to fix it. To this day the floor never got fixed after several phone calls and emails to both companies. Now I get no response at all from them. Once we moved in, Silverthorne will forget about you.Review from Anne J

We just closed on an offsite Silverthorne home, and it was the worst experience of my life. Definitely in the top 5. A Master Class in incompetence from start to finish. 11 months of gaslighting and mistakes without explanation. If I managed projects that inefficiently I would be fired from my job. The problem was we couldn't fire them. By the time we realized what a terrible mistake we had made it was too late, and we were locked into a contract with serious financial repercussions if we broke it. Throughout the project we had to constantly ask for information -- almost all communication was initiated by us. The construction manager changed mid-build and we were not notified. We would go for months without any communication from our Silverthorne **** ****************** They kept making mistakes (like installing carpet in the basement when we chose vinyl plank, laying sod before the water was turned on, cutting the neighbors cable, etc.) and didn't inform us that almost all of our tile and flooring had been backordered. All of this set our timeline back. We expected delays and changes, but we also expected to be told. Instead we were kept in the dark and expected to wait, powerless. We also went with Silverton for financing, and would give them negative stars if possible. The last time we built was 2008/2009 so it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows then either. But we were walked through the entire process, didn't have to constantly ask for updates, and it was like clockwork. The same situation with the lender (also in partnership with the builder) and that was seamless too. Basically, the exact opposite of this build.I see the irony of complaining about building a house, but if you can afford to do it you should definitely use a different builder.Silverthorne Homes, LLC Response
